They should shut off the reservations, build all reserved Broncos as MY21 and anything beyond that, like dealer stock would be MY22...

I don't care what the stamp says on the door panel.

I just need rear seat vents and a heated cup holder to keep my espresso hot.
Exactly. Sometimes, it's the simple things in life...

Agree. Although it seems A LOT of people will be changing their trim levels when it comes time to place the order. Also see a lot of people with 2 reservations at separate dealerships trying to get the best price. I just want mine NOW lol. I feel like those of us that reserved day 1 or even on the opening week should get something a little more... throw me a coffee mug or a t-shirt or something.

I think they should just make it a ‘22 MY and have it be a good, long run. I have a feeling this is what will happen.

2021.5, Just like the 1964.5 Mustang.
Fun fact: The 1964.5 Mustang is a myth. They were all 1965s. Later on, people started to point out the running changes that took place and came up with that designation to separate their cars from the later cars. I guess that could happen with Bronco too. So, you could be right after all.

Didnt they used to list the mustangs like "64 1/2" or something at one point? Just do that... I dont even know what car model years are anymore. Do they operate on a fiscal year?

Because the Mustang was introduced in 1964 but advertised as an early 1965 model, it is often referred to as the 1964 1/2 Mustang. Initial production of the second round of Mustangs began on August 17, 1964.

As I mentioned elsewhere, fill the books for 2021 to match production capacity til 12/21, open the order books in fall of 21 for production of the 22 MY starting in after the last 2021 rolls off in Dec of 21.

Ford, that's a $20K consultant invoice right there but I will trade you for a free Sasquatch upgrade. PM me. :ROFLMAO:

Build the "limited edition" FE's as MY21 and number 7001 to roll of the line becomes MY22. I mean, it is pretty obvious that that is the proper solution, right?

That's easy brother. Right before I agree on the deal I tell the sales person they have to thrown in for ex. A hat, shirt, floor mats, etc., and I'll take the car. Worked every time for so far. Got a nice Jeep hat when I bought the Wragler. :)

I don’t understand all the negativity. They have a shitload of reservations and are likely gearing up the factory. I would hope that if they stay somewhat true to producing by order of reservation number received, that most of us that put in a ressie during the night of the reveal/morning after will get our cars between August - Oct 2021. Given the sheer number of reservations, that production would naturally carry into 2022 for all the other folks that were late in making their reservations.

personally, I got my reservation in at 11pm the night of the reveal and I don’t think my build will slip to 2022. I’m sure many others in the same boat think that as well
