I’m in the market again to possibly switch back from my Jeep Gladiator back to a Bronco. I have a specific budget and was browsing online ads when I came across a 2021 OBX 2-door lux that’s fully loaded but with cloth (which I like). It’s a 2.3 auto which I’m ok with my last Bronco was a manual and loved it too.

The only other alternative I’d want is a 2025 base 2-door with manual transmission with zero options.

Did Ford really improve upon the QC each model year? I’m trying to decide between older but creature comforts or newer with likely better QC plus the gauges, lights, new 2.3 etc.

Improve QC, no not really.
Change some other things, yes.

There were a few specific things that got improved over time - like a rear crosslink mount with a better weld, drip guards on the soft top, etc. 7mt has been iteratively updated. Subwoofer became standard.

Nothing terribly huge though. The biggest change so far year over year is the new dual injection 2.3 that came this year, and the new digital dashboard. B&O radio got a nice update in 2025, but hardly earth shattering. New glossy hard top option this year.

QC - no, not really. Nothing significant has really changed.

That said, good luck finding a 7mt 2-door. They are rare unicorns unless you order it.

2025 base has the all-new 2.3L which gets you 300 HP and 325 TQ without premium gas, 12" full digital instrument cluster, and 12" nav screen.

Older, simply because any QC issues are either blindingly obvious at this point, already taken care of, or non-existent.

...and the addition of port fuel injection, which helps keep the valves clean (as opposed to the pure DI of the pre-2025 2.3).

2025 also get the Air Vents to the rear. Everything else everyone spoke on. So,

1. Air Vents in rear
2. Digital Cluster
3. 2.3 Direct Port Injection/ Fuel Port Injection
4. Updated B&O/ Sound system
5. Updated (depending on model) steering racks/shocks

QA is about the same from what I have read.

Yes, I will echo what others have said--as well as the new brake booster for the 2.3. Since the 2021 Model Year, there have been several improvements; however, the MSRP has increased along with it. Although I am quite happy with my 2021 2-door with the 2.7L, the 2025+ Manual 7-speed with the 2.3L is tempting.

I would go new if you can afford it.

Undecided
Getting a painted hardtop alone instead of mic top is all the reason I would need for the 2025 over 2021 , your on your own with any top issues on that 21

Yes, I would agree. Those new painted hard tops are much nicer then the papier-mâché most of us have.

Hmmm... "creature comforts"?
For this creature, "having fun" is what "comforts" me.
If you are buying instead of leasing, get the 7MT. Over time and as you get spare cash, add your own creature comforts. In addition to all the improvements others already posted, you will regain a warranty that the 2021 no longer has. (Furthermore, I tell all my friends never buy a used car built during the Covid years -- chip shortages and other issues!!)

If you do buy a new Bronco, don't waste your time looking for it on a dealership lot.
In my experience, I learned all the dealerships in 3 NE states will never "waste their precious allocations" ordering an MT (or even a 2 door) unless a customer put down a deposit (aka order one).
