2-door versus Not Broncos

Change anything you want about the vehicle since the original version. Suspension, engine, steering system, brakes, frame, electronics, body panel material. But so help me fuck… if you give people an option to add a couple doors and some actual cargo space. Then it’s no longer a Bronco.

I like both, but I know that’s unreasonable.

I think it's insecurity.

I have a neighbor whose son is very athletic, but at 14 is still less than 5ft tall. His good friend is 6'4". They are polar opposites, his son is always making you look at him, his friend is almost laconic to the point of distraction (as he runs in 70 yard touchdowns, he barely looks like he's running). Guess who gets all the looks. Another example was Steve Smith, the hall of fame wide receiver. "Too short" but also super tough in a way that made you consider him as the best option.

The 2dr's are (rightfully) concerned that 2drs are on the chopping block, so it's "hey don't forget these matter too!". Some people just do that with obnoxiousness.

I haven't been on here that long but i haven't see 4 door owners saying 2 doors aren't real Broncos, that they suck or put derisive comments about owners of 2 doors Broncos. I know i said i prefer a 4 door because of space, passangers and kids. But look at the responses i got. It's almost like some peoples manhood is based on their choice of car.

That's not what I am talking about. It's the loudness and frequency. Every Forum. The funniest one is the Gladiator forums where they don't even have a two door model.....still threads about how a two door would be the best thing on the planet and why making a 4 door was stupid. Crazy stuff.

Commenting on a dead thread that nobody saw fit to reply to originally is stirring up what isn't needed. And yes, there are definitely 4dr trolls and stans on this forum, because people be people.

Y'know, we all engage in some poking and prodding now and then (when I have, I haven't meant it but I try not to get too out of hand about it), but this whole thread isn't fun, for you or most of the rest of us. Let it go. There are people on this forum that like to see people get twisted up, and you're playing into that going after them. Ignore them is my (earned) advice. It's the only way you win in the long term.
