I've towed a raceboat that totaled around 3000# including the trailer up and down country roads and interstate hills in WV. No issues. You could feel it but it didn't feel unsafe or struggling at all. Maneuverability in and out of the garage was very impressive with the short wheelbase.

I drove from Salem, Virginia to Gambrills, Maryland to get "Bonnie". Four and 1/2 hours up and 4 1/2 back, including the Beltway (not from the big city). I don't know what I looked like from behind, but I was cruising up front. Less than 2,000 lbs, 190 lb. tongue weight. It's a 2021 and checked all the boxes... gray with black trim, dark stained wood work... and all of the other quality aspects. The price dropped from $22,900 to $18,400... and that's why I made the drive. I could've and most folks would've taken my F150 Lariat, but I've actually waited longer for my tab than I did for my Bronco... and I waited 847 days for that little jem. I wanted them to come back home together. The first cool experience towing it back was stopping for fuel and being able to leave room for the pump behind me (the little things are these lttle things).

It may check the boxes for gross weight and tongue weight, but a WDH is needed. It pulled and stopped fine, side winds weren't the most enjoyable.

Other than 10mpg - have zero complaints hauling this all over the west.

(Note the camera angle makes the camper look a lot bigger than it actually is. 1800lb empty weight and only 150lb tongue weight if I pack it right)

Just a couple of two-doors haulin loads... big, fat loads. I drug my load all the way across the country and you just have to keep it calm and don't drive it like there isn't a trailer back there.

Uhaul 6x12 loaded to... uh, let's say the tow rating... yeah, that's it.

Same boat and trailer , 3000lbs across certified scales , 2 different Broncos.

For reference , Dad's 1/2 ton Chebby crew cab pulls it absolutely fine, dead stable, maybe a bit down on power, but it has like 165000 mi on the 5.3.
I've been towing as long as I've been driving and am quite comfortable doing so. (54yo)

2023 Badlands 4dr on 33's, 2.3 auto , 4.46 gears ... on the interstate it is just barely less stable than the truck, but the 10spd auto is fucking magic!! Because of it, power-wise, this Bronco pulled better than the truck. At say 60/65 mph, the 4dr is the trucks equal. On the interstate 70/75 mph or on the slower twisty hilly back roads, the weight of the boat gets just the slightest bit pushy but nowhere near dangerous or even scary ... it just reminds you that you have a fair amount of weight back there. Consider the weight and length of the Chevy truck I compare it against... it stands to reason.
I can't imagine how well a V6 Bronco or Ranger would tow this boat. I really want to try it now.

2021 Base 2dr 2.3 7spd manual 4.46gears ... on 35's.
Short wheel base, so yes it is slightly more bucky than the 4dr, but nowhere near as bad as I THOUGHT it would be. I feel it actually did very well.
The worst part by far was the too tall of tire for the gears and the set ratios of the 7 spd. The rig is fine on its own, but the boat and fewer gears really highlighted the weakness the 2.3 might have if it is not in its happy rpm zone.
I want to try again with the stock 30's or 33's and see how much that helps.

If your 2dr is an auto, either motor will have it towing up to our 3500lb max without much issue. Keep your speed around 70 mph, 75 if it is dead flat and smooth .... and be aware of pavement dips at the bridges ... they'll set up a nice bucking motion when you find them.
