That would be interesting to see Rob. I have sent a request to FoMoCo asking them why they use/used a 7.5qrt initial fill on the 2.7 for the first two years. They responded this morning saying they would get back to me asap. I got the email addy from my brother who is a Ford dealer. We shall see…..

Hardcore off-roaders? Are these akin to the one percenters in the motorcycle club world? I‘m off-road a lot myself, but I always have a destination such as a remote camping, fishing or hunting spot…..never just playing “on the rocks”. Rock crawling is just not my thing unless said rocks are...

I’ve gotten into the habit of pushing the start button then simply moving over to the auto start button and pushing it. It’s automatic for me now.

The axle ratios on your Bronco are setup for use with your stock size tires…….best fuel economy and power. If you go with 35s it’ll feel lower on power and fuel economy will not be good. A good 285/70/17 in a load range C will be much better and will still look good.

I’d go with 33s (285/70) as the largest. They’ll look good, especially on wheels with a +30 offset. You’ll be much happier in the long run with these over 35s.

Which transmission do you have? Your axle ratios are gonna have a lot to do with whether you’ll be happy with 35s on a non-SAS base.

For a year(?) Ford has been using an initial fill of 7.5qts of oil in the 2.7 V6 with no associated problems that I’ve heard of. This roughly equates to a 7qt service fill. Ford says that now the service fill is 6qts although it’s ok to use 7qts As for as I know the initial fill is still 7.5...

Snorkels on a production vehicle make me laugh….sorry, I just can’t help it.

Love these 33s! I remember when 33/12.50/15s were "huge" tires. We ran them on everything from Jeeps to 1/2ton trucks! They were extremely capable to tackle anything off-road. Now it's 37s!
