You better let us know how the 2.3/sas combo feels!! Probably one of the first to recieve that combo. I’m a September reservation so I have plenty of time to mull it over, and change my order if need be.
Still waiting for a fully doorless pic of stock Black Diamond. Fingers crossed some of the other dealers in California will hook us up and take the doors off at their dealer
Funny, I actually love the orange accents with the darker interior of the BL. If it wasn’t so much more expensive to build a BL how I want, I’d do it in a heart beat. To each their own!
Anyone going to the California stops of the 4-door Cactus Gray Black Diamond and the OBX:
Can any of you kind souls see if the reps there will let you remove the doors on the Black Diamond, and get some shots with the doors off? There's a ton of pictures out there of Sasquatch models in every...
I've been thinking about it more and more, and I think I'm going to upgrade to the 2.7, budget be damned. It's only a few dollars more every month. Plus with a 17 September reservation, I might not see my truck till this time next calendar year, so I have months and months to change it, and that...
2 huge observations for hot aftermarket items, which might be available by the time our Broncos come in:
Soft top-compatable roof rack
Swing out bumper-mounted tire carrier??
I'm in coastal Georgia so I know the deal with freak afternoon rainstorms too.
Here's a TFL video of the Trektop Ultra being taken down. It seems like no more or less difficulty taking down than the factory top. The windows are held in place by rubber tubes in channels, just like the factory...
Yep, seen the video several times. I love the way it folds all the way back, I can’t imagine a situation that I would just want to do the single “sun rider” fold, and not just take all the windows out and put it all the way down. That’s my favorite part about the factory top.
I’d just rather...
My guess is that it doesn’t for 2 reasons: 1, I think they would have advertised it if it did go all the way back. And 2, because the keep version of the trektop is separated into regular and Ultra varieties, and it makes sense to me that Bestop would want to advertise that the top is an Ultra...
This is super frustrating. With the Ultra/factory Webasto style that folds all the way back as an option, I don't know why anyone would get a top that only folds back to sit on top of the roll cage like that. It looks way sloppier, and I assume it would buffet in the wind a lot more too...
So funny...really just a matter of perspective. I ordered 4 door, but several times a day (especially when pics like this are posted), I start trying to rationalize again that I could live with the 2 door.
Those pics of the 4 door with roof rack are what did it for me, since I saw those I was on board. Wavered a bit and considered carbonized gray and velocity blue, but melts coming back.
Maybe I’m ignorant of how the video production works, but I highly agree. The full walkthroughs are nice, but they should have so many more videos out than they do now. Take 30 minutes of filming for every color/trim combo, some exterior and interior shots for each, edited down to 5 minutes a...
Definitely still having second thoughts. Committed to BD sas I think, but still having second thoughts on 2/4 door and 2.3/2.7. Good thing is with a September 16 reservation I’ll have plenty of time to think about to before mine gets scheduled
Looking very good, and the value can’t be beat across the rest of the trim lineups. I’d even consider giving up the mid package on BD to drop down to a basesquatch, I just can’t get on board with the cloth seats and non-washout floors. For my uses I plan on having the roof and doors off a ton...
I think I really am going to have to see it in person. Another benefit to being a late reservation I guess. I just hope I have the opportunity to soon, I'm pretty far from all these expos and where they are running around in Detroit.
