Iāve caved to sasquatch long ago, but still love hanging around this thread because the BD is by far the best looking if the standard suspension versions. Every time new pics are posted up I go āwow that looks really good. Maybe Iāll drop the squatch so I can get it earlierā¦.ā
Then I do the...
Did you actually convert your reservation to an order with your dealer starting in January when order banks opened? If your dealer isnāt on top of things, they may have never reached out to you to take your order. You might want to contact them about it, Ford Corporate isnāt going to talk...
Anyone received thereās yet? Only heard of 1 2.3/auto/sas getting delivered, and that was the thread of the 2 door basesquatch in carbonized gray. The owners feedback said it was plenty powerful and to not undercount it. Iāve been looking for more deliveries/impressions, especially 4 door, to...
So far it looks like all the recent deliveries that have been going out have all been either 2.7 squatches or 2.3/2.7 non squatch. Iām intrigued to hear drive impressions and reports of the 2.3/squatch combo, because thatās what I have on order and several others do as well. The only impressions...
Seconding everyone here with the support for the 4A. I have it in my Canyon and use it all the time even in Georgia, where it will torrentially rain. On wet surfaces, especially in a pickup with not a lot of weight over the rear axle, itās easy to kick the tires loose at a stoplight or at a turn...
Yeah thereās not gonna be a lot of sympathy for you here manā¦.why would you be upset about having a Bronco now vs 2 years from now..???? I would also be willing to be my Bronco that before dual tops get delivered, Bestop has already come out with a non-fastback version. And thatās not counting...
Hmmmā¦guy who took delivery of the 2 door carb gray basesquatch on here said he was pleasantly surprised with the 2.3/10 speed. Possibly a frame-of-reference issue. What vehicle are you coming from?
One more spot for my soft top to move up š
Iām very intrigued by people who cancel at this stage. Itās been said on this forum before but, if youāre cancelling because of events that have gone on, I donāt know if the bronco was the right vehicle for you in the first place. If you want a Bronco...
ā¦.so now you sit and wait comfortably with a VIN and a build date whatās within 3 weeks, while the rest of us are wondering if weāll take delivery in 2022? Not sure if I understand the problemā¦
I think that answers your question right there, if that utility and towing ability is important to you, I think that makes your decision for you. Iāve owned a truck for the last 5 years thinking I would use the towing ability way more than I have. The bed is nice to have, but Iāve realized I can...
Failed to even mention in my earlier post, the 2.3 handily beats the 3.5 in the Tacoma. And thatās not even talking about the 2.7.
PLUSā¦if the lux package is your thing, I donāt think you can get a lot of those technology and comfort things in a Tacoma, like the 12 inch screen, 360 camera, etc.
Seems like a Big Bend with rear locker option, or a Black Diamond would do the trick and be comparable to a TRD Off Road, or even a TRD Pro. Black Diamond already having the rear locker, plus bonus points for having steel bumpers the washout interior, and good 32ā all terrains. The Sasquatch is...
Definitely not the case. 9/20 reservation with soft top, 2.7, mid, Sasquatch, tow, no email. Although I was previewing the week the 5/20 orders went out. Once mine gets assigned a VIN Iām sure they will be towards the end of the soft tops. What was it, something like 5% of the orders were soft...
āAnd for about the past two decades, the Wrangler's biggest competition has been Jet Skis and divorces.ā
thatās the best line of automotive journalism Iāve ever read
I've always been leaning towards BD/BL for the washout interior. I thought about dropping down to basesquatch, and asked my Jeep buddy about it. He is a big proponent of MGV/washout, he apparently has issues with his JK all the time. He does run doors and roof off a lof of the time like I plan...
The regular Black Diamond looks awesome. Iāve thought about dropping down from Sasquatch BD, save the $4200, keep the mid package and upgrade to the 2.7. I love the look of the black steelies. I just know Iād regret it as soon as I saw a squatch in the wild and have tire envy. Plus, canāt beat...
Iām honestly considering dropping tow package as well. I know aftermarket hitches could be the same quality or better, I just feel like having the 7 pin connector and all that stuff wired up would be hard to do or annoying to do aftermarket. I donāt neeeeed the tow package right away, but losing...
Ive seen some videos online of products that recondition old jeep soft top windows, it seems a few layers of product and some elbow grease will clean them up no problem. Definitely something Iām OK with.
Itās been pretty good to me. Only annoyance is with the level, chin spoiler removed, and the heavier 255/75r17 STT Pros, I went from about 28-30 highway MPG to about 20-23. That, plus itās sloooooooow. 369 torque, but 181 horsepower. Another reason Iām not concerned with the 2.3, itās going to...
Follow up: I know that soft tops are wear items and have to be replaced every few years, and I do have issues with how the factory tops look after some crappy folding. Thatās why I definitely plan on replacing with a Bestop Ultra in a few years, or sooner if the factory top starts looking bad...
