Weird parking lot...and I don't guess this mall even has a Banana Republic. What kind of mall is this? ;)
Looks like fun! My kids love getting off road. My wife...not so much.
I have been running MT 35's since last fall with 17" Fuel Trophy wheels with the Toyota 106mm hub size. They've run fine, but were extremely harsh once I got up to ~70. I thought it was just MT's.
I finally broke down and bought a set of 106-93 hub rings from Stage 3 motorsports for $18.99. I...
So...I put 35's on my mid package Big Bend around 6 months ago. They were used, so they either had no TPMS sensors or they were old/not compatible. Either way, I've been canceling out the tire pressure error for 6 months.
Somehow, just today, no error! And it reads 33-35 psi per tire! How in...
I wouldn't locktite it if I were you. Just bear down on the bolts, especially the top one. I've had the doors off and on numerous times, and the first time or two the bolts walked out a bit. But if you tighten them--I mean really tighten them---they don't back out.
Dude, just let her sleep. My kids come in and wake me up all the time and I hate it! You just got back from a long trip, you rode her hard, now she just wants to get a good night sleep. Is that really too much to ask?
Edit: is there a way to put me in deep sleep mode?
The Bronco seems to have some sort of proximity sensor. I hear clicks when I am near it, whether the key is with me or not. There have been threads about that.
My guess would be your remote wire is connected to something that receives some signal when this proximity sensor kicks on. Did you...
So..if no rack, then how will you carry all your stuff? Can I assume it's a solo trip? I'm planning a *much* shorter trip with a wife and three kids and am freaking out about space lol.
*EDIT: Please post this trip! It sounds amazing!
You're right on the bulk of the cost being in the bolts. Fuel quoted me $2 per bolt for the replacements to the ones that already rusted. No thanks! I used a local company for about the same price, and like the stainless better.
I'm far from a paint professional. Again, I just wanted to make...
They're MT's, so that's why they are so aggressive. Not sure of the size. They don't appear to be 315/70/17's which would be 34.4.
If you're not familiar with offroad tires (you may be), the MT's will give you that aggressive look but will also give you the lovely "wha-wha" sound going down...
From what I've read on here, you could go taller--maybe 34.something--but wider would be the issue. Eithwr way, you'd more than likely either have to go with no crash bars or the modified ones you can buy.
Here ya go... Toyo AT2's. Had good luck with them in other vehicles in the past. I just didn't like the stance. Plus, I put a lift on it and wanted to go to 35's.
I posted this thread a few months back on sprucing up some used wheels and, aside from some expected sarcasm and a dismissive suggestion or two, I found no guidance. So I decided to strike out on my own. I bought the wheels and tires for $700, after putting 33's on the stock BB wheels and not...
Thanks! I like the idea of wider flares... but I'm worried these may be too wide. My wheels are +7 offset, so my 35's are tucked in a bit more...
May go with Squatch flares...
It's hard to tell from the pics...how well do they match the other plastic trim pieces, ie, bumper etc...?
And edit...one more question lol: How loud are those Nittos?
First offroad adventure a few months ago involved several significant mud holes that required mud/ruts GOAT mode. It was a beautiful day, my kids were with me, so of course the top was down. What I didn't account for was the 1 inch-plus of poke from my 35's. After a few rooster tails littered...
