We really have reached full jump the shark mode on analyzing the Bronco! These are things I probably wouldn't see if I bought the thing in person.
I honestly envy our community's attention to detail!
So I know it's been discussed several times in various places, but it's hard to find specific mentions of model: What are the biggest tires we think the BB could accept with stock configuration?
I'm not so sure. I'm at a small-volume dealer that told me they had 8 allotments. I was originally #17 before reservations were converted and some options were pushed to MY22.
I was told last week that 12 reservations had been converted and at least 2 of them had the mod hard top.
All of...
I know I've read estimates somewhere but couldn't find it now if my life depended on it, so let me ask: How long after production date should it take to take delivery?
For you non-emailers...sorry to rub it in!
Got my email! Had a July 22 reservation for a BB non-sasquatch 4dr 2.7 with soft top. Was on the cusp of getting in at my small dealer (around 8 allocations) Must have got in! Build date thr week of June 7
Oh no! Another thing to try to explain to my wife lol.
"Honey, I want to drive to Gatlinburg to ride in a Bronco, then turn around and drive three hours back home."
Wife: "Why?"
This was in the plan anyway. The bumper-winch upgrade was going to be my first purchase AM. And I'm looking to go to an Offroadeo when available too. I have looked at offroad driving schools and will likely do that.
When I take on a new hobby, I usually do it in as informed a way as possible...
I'm a pay cash kinda guy. So that means upgrades here and there as I can. That's why my initial pick was BB. I can get a lift/wheels/tires as I go.
It will be a DD, but I have several other cars in the stable. I'll be keeping my 17 Titan XD 4x4. So mods that affect daily driveability are not...
Thanks all. You've brought me a little farther in my mental journey. At this point, I have two competing voices in my head:
1. Tim Allen from Home Improvement says get the Squatch package because it's awesome and you'll need it at *some* point
2. My inner accountant says why pay for...
Probably not "serious" in the sense you mean. But I'm in the "when you need it you need it" camp. If I need a front locker once a year, I assume it would be worth it, correct? Or is that unreasonable? Again, I don't know what I don't know.
BTW...thanks all for not saying, "What does $5000 matter? It's just x amount extra per month." That doesn't apply when I'm trying to pay "straight cash homie" lol.
Hmmm... the wife--who is not totally on board but is allowing me to chase my Bronco dream--liked the stripes on the 4wp mod Bronco. Might be something to consider.
I'm leaning this direction. I've done research on converters/solar/aux battery systems. Seems straightforward enough.
EDIT: inverters I know... I get confused between the two when talking RV's too.
Also...any idea if they will introduce new colors to the Base? I'm really not feeling the...
