Hey Zach, Merry Christmas! I still havent ordered yet ,but have long maintained the idea of ordering from you and flying all the way from Maui to pick it up. On the ESP front does that apply out of state, like i can get service all the way out in Hawaii.
Thanks and Aloha!
I cant wait to try the manual, right now im torn between a 2dr base and and the cheapest 4dr badlands i can get. Definitely no reason to even consider a auto. Cant, wont, and never again.
Alot of car guys and myself consider old as before their time. So for me thats pre 84. Which is easy because thats an almost universal carb/efi paradigm shift. My 96 Bronco is considered a modern electronic computer run vehicle. Which is why it currently has sensor/computer failures that plague...
To me it would be both. A 2.5" lift and +1" clearancing, plus tire clearance. On a BD going from 32" to 36" I would call that adding 3" of axle ground clearance and 5.5" of belly clearance. Helluva thing for a simple metal mod.
Wouldnt it be awesome if someone figured out a way to move the...
Im sure you know this but to do this properly you may have to use a spacer on the inside of the bracket to make up for the dimple. I would personally fab up a cupthat fits inside the bracket that comes below the bushing and bridges both sides together. Then mocked up with a bolt weld the exposed...
I do love this. Reminds of a SOA lift on a cj/yj or a shackle hanger flip and washer stack lift on a FSB or ranger. Free or near free lifts that improve things in the chassis are awesome. I would weld-in and reinforce the mount while you are cutting it for sure. Why not?
Okay new plan since they are auto, your only option what to do is simple.
Tame the Broncos!
Take the roofs off.
Get a 2 planks.
Attach them in a manner allowing pivot at the cage and frame.
Get some forscan wizard to hack the drive by wire systems and link them.
Then buy a racing seat and...
Im down with chassis mods. I remember scouring over the bare chassis and seing alot of potential. Post pics of your plan. Maybe use chalk on the layout to show us better.
Still havent ordered our Bronco for my stage III cancer survivor wife, but we hope to this new year. Probably just going to get the cheapest(were poorish)4dr stick and build it up, but we will get her bucking a Bronco one day.
Doesnt help your situation but when I am driving my beaters, almost always, I purposely park in ways that make it difficult for jackwagons that park wrong. Poor parking is bad driving. If you cant handle a car that isnt moving, good god what happens when they get on the road??
Nice base braddah! Sitting over here on Maui flip flopping between a Bronco and a Maverick. My wife thinks a mav will be sufficient but we stay out in the jungle. Im not sure it will last on our road although I do like em. So i want the cheapest best 4dr(my wife again) stick i can get. Would...
