I'd rather have zero GOAT modes, and the ability to select throttle response and steering stiffness, and keep it that way after a restart ;)
Wait, KEEP your settings after restart?

Come on, how many recalls would THAT result in?

😬

I drive in Sport all day every day. Sport and then tap it back into 2wd. It's the only way to drive these bricks.

4hi in super deep snow a few times. In light snow? I rip around in my normal Sport/2wd and turn the traction control off. Might as well have some fun.

I haven't done any serious crawling or desert running yet, so sadly no Baja mode use for me. Not a lot of desert in NJ though...
Same but I now keep 4A rather than 2H so I wear the tires more evenly. If you watch the power distribution widget it’s often 2H anyway.

I use Eco for much of my normal street driving because I like green. Manufacturer's need to understand that blue is not a good color for any instruments or indicators.
IDK I use blue on my Mustang instrumentation, kinda dig it.

It seems the on road modes are more important, off road I figure it out. I chose Normal (most the time), Sport (steep, winding mountain 2 lanes), Slippery (it really does help on snowpack and ice.) and since the poll asked for 4, Sand (because the OM says it might get you unstuck, we"ll see haven't tried it.). That said I did order the Flashcal+ 'cause just gotta have Rockcrawl, for the cool graphic if nothing else and to eliminate Eco because it's another step on the way to Sport and it just takes all the joy out of driving.

Items with red dot are controlled by the computer / GOAT mode, not the user.

I used to not use goat modes until I was informed that there are different traction settings (more than just on/off for the hero button) in each mode.
Do you have any details of TC enhancement? I'd like to find something that allows TC but not Adv Trac in 4L.

EDIT: I see the chart above sys TC enhanced in Sand (which would match OMs advice to use Sand to get unstuck) and says sand is available in 4H and 4L, but I bet it disables in TC 4L, I'll give it a try

"I don't ever use those modes, just worthless! Get rid of 'em."

"But you don't know what they do?"

"Nah, don't need to, so stoopid."

Somewhere in Fortress Ford, Silo Bironco Sauce.

"So the braintrust on 6g says they hate them, get rid of them. They're onto us, all the fancy gimmicry we spent *consults phone* lots of money on them for nothing but marketing. I told you not to get those twits involved! Nothing they do helps! What are we gonna do now? The natives are restless and shirtless. They need to put their shirts back on."

"I know! Let's do a real Base. No GOAT modes, no screen, manual only with the '90's 5.0. Computer? What computer?? Base baby! They'll have to unlock their own doors! Turn on their own headlights!! We can overcharge and still keep it cheap but literally rake in the dollar bills, y'all!"

"Execute on that plan, do it yesterday!!"

Months later on 6g...

"What?!?! A base with no Sport mode? I have to do my own lockers? Where's the CarPlay support?? I hate manuals, who wants to buy this!"

"Well, it does have a NA V8 and farts amazing!"

"Meh. I wanna push buttons. And it only comes in gray..."

Remember back when Microwave ovens had, like, a separate button for Ground Beef, Chicken, Turkey, Casserole, Popcorn, Soup, Tacos, Chicken Nuggets, etc - and it was like a race to see who could have the most buttons and the most convoluted way to just heat up a cup of water?

All most people ended up doing is mashing "+1 Minute" however many times they though would work and pray they don't scorch the popcorn again, while having the clock eternally flash 12:00 because no one could figure out how to reset it every time the power went out.

Same thing here.
...let it run through the cycle again and burned the popcorn again last night....argh

Yeah but I'd hate to be declined a warranty claim for doing that. When I'm off warranty I'll do it.
Check out the Super Chips Flashcal+

Sport mode remaps the pedal, holds lower gears longer and applies more torque to the rear wheels ( If left in 4Auto). It does stiffen the steering slightly as well.
It certainly does not hold gears longer, my right hand does that. I don't know about the 4-Auto thing, as I don't have that either.

If I had an auto-matic, I'd shift it into Sport every time I start the vehicle, since it also disables AS/S. But if Bronco only came in an automatic, I'd be driving something else.

Just recently got the Flashcal+ to add Sport to my '21 BL. Thing is pretty cool...easy peasy to add/remove goat modes and bunch of other stuff.

Well mine certainly does hold the gears longer but then again, your right hand also probably holds things mine doesn't.

It was a little wonky doing the initial update, be sure to have good cell reception or WIFI. Otherwise it's very user freindly. This screen alone was worth the purchase IMO. Actual coolant temp!
