Really, How good are 4wp/pro comp 2.5” coilovers??

What are your thoughts so far on the performance difference between the Eibachs and the Pro Comps now? I have the Eibachs with HD springs, they look to be in much better shape than your old ones.

Hard to say really going from a completely blown front and leaky all others. Going off-roading for the first time since install this weekend. We did some higher speed 35-40 two tracks with nice rolling hills and whoops and they handles fantastic. More stable than the Eibachs ever were.

Well after some rock crawling more open area baja at an offroad park Sat morning my view is even better in favor of the pro comp. We found them a little stiffer while towing the camper which is good. I heard significantly less odd noises while flexed over obstacles. Wondering now if it was spring bindings hearing on the Eibachs or possibly the bushings as the Eibachs were set within spec. The pro comp did very well off road.

Thanks for the follow up. Thankfully I haven't had any noise issues on my Eibachs. They did have a little squeek after swapping rear springs but it was remedied with a little spray of fluid film. They did very well on the Rubicon trail last week. I could see having bad shocks though causing a lot of issues.

I have a 2022 black diamond 2dr 7mt non-sas. Considering Pro Comps and at the most 35" pizza cutters. I want at the most a 2" lift. At what point is it necessary to switch out the steering rack, tie-rods, etc? Thanks.

Coming from a non-SAS, Pro Comps are going to clock in around 2.5-3” lift at their minimum setting. They fit 35s perfectly well, but may be a bit more lift than you are after on a 2Dr without going to a softer spring

You will want new UCAs for proper alignment, I recommend a front diff drop and rear trac bar relocation bracket but would not call them required — and beyond that anything else is more or less optional

They really aren't ever necessary. I wheel the hell out of mine on 37's. Stock base rack and tie rods.

If you have the money and want extra insurance then sure go ahead. But people have broken upgraded racks and tie-rods as well so....

Edit: I should elaborate that I run stock tie-rods in hopes they will be a fuse if I ever have an issue. I carry spares.

Echoing what was said here. Procomps give a bunch of lift. 650/250 spring rates front/rear. Some of us have switched springs to 500/200. Lots off extra work. If you don’t want >2” lift then they are probably not for you.

Edit: I don't rock crawl or do any crazy offroad stuff (Canyonlands Shafer/Potash was pretty extreme for me), pretty much forest roads.

I have the ProComp/4WP,uca's and have been happy with them. But to be fair I got them stupid cheap at like $89 when they were liquidating the 4WP stuff. I think they might still be one of the better values even at whatever price they are now. Just make sure you grease them really really really really, really well.

I'm running the Fab tech rear bracket, I like it because it adds a bolt further out for better triangulation. I feel like it's stronger than most of the others that only use the existing holes. However requires drilling a hole, but probably literally the easiest hole you'll drill underneath the Bronco.
