Same. I kept my 2002 3/4 truck 13 years, and I bought it used, lol. Finally, a nagging oil leak AND coolant leak that the shop couldn't fix did her in. I was driving around with jugs of coolant in the back seat when I drove to trade it in.
Sounds like you need a new shop

The breaking point will be when I don't trust it anymore. My dad had a truck when he was a kid, and after a problem with one of the wheels, everytime there was any kind of noise, shake or shimmy he was pulling over and getting out to shake the wheel. He loved that truck but decided he couldn't trust it anymore so he sold it. When the Bronco's no longer trustworthy, it will go.
Best post yet.

Any time a vehicle becomes a real stressor in any way, down the road it goes.

Man, I have had the worst track record with repair shops until I moved to my current area, and finally found a shop that seems fair and knows what they're doing. But yeah, I went round and round on that truck with the repair shop after spending $5k to stop a coolant and oil leak and after I got it back they were both still leaking. I probably should have talked to a lawyer, but I just let it go.

When you don’t have a clue and rely on someone else to diagnose and repair your vehicle and possibly screw you over or just mis-diagnose issues is probably a whole lot more stressful vs having the ability to see through the bullshit and have no fear in repairing yourself . I imagine that tends to change how folks feel about keeping their vehicle for the long run. It’s just nuts and bolts built by humans. Learn and be not afraid. lol.

The only thing that could have me part with my Bronco would be if Ford came to their senses and offered a two door Bronco with a V8.

When something a little bit better than a GX 550 comes out at the right price point.

After a lifetime in the business when your body and mind get as old and sick as mine I have to rely on others…

But I bet you can see through the bullshit. And at 66 I also rely on others more and more.

Well, for the moment, I have a spare top. My 2023 came with the dual top. Hard top installed and a softtop stuffed inside. I've used the softtop a few times but the family prefers the hard top. Im not getting any younger so leaving the hard top on is a plus. Even though I change it by myself, with the use of winches, one for the hard top and stowage and the other to handle the soft top.

Before the BB, I had a wonderful 2020 Colorado ZR2 Bison Diesel. My breaking point when it failed me three times. The next day I bought the 2023 BB. So far, all has been good. Gasoline is a better buy than diesel and I don't have to fool with DEF fluid and fluid heaters, sensors, etc.

I'm very old, bought the Bronco WT, because it was different, yes albeit pricy, but what isn't now a days, will it brake? eventually yes, have I modified it, not really, it's just find the way it is, don't care who laughs at it, do I go off road? yes.
Last new vehicle I'll ever purchase...

Saw one of those “tolerance challenge” posts recently and thought we Bronco owners should have our own take on it. Let’s see how far you make it before losing your mind. Just for fun, guys.

Level 1:
A crack appears on your roof.

Level 2:
Other vehicle owners laugh at your Bronco.

Level 3:
Filling up the gas tank while your wallet cries in silence.

Level 4:
Getting roasted by other Bronco owners for not building it “the right way.”

Level 5:
Your Bronco starts making a weird noise… and you can’t figure out where it’s coming from.

Level 6:
You find out your Bronco is now worth way less than what you bought it for.

Level 7:
You realize the dealership totally played you.

Level 8:
Something breaks in the middle of nowhere on the trail.

So… which level would completely break you? And if none of these bother you, then congratulations — your Bronco is definitely your true love. But honestly, what’s a few problems here and there? We all know we’re still gonna keep spoiling them anyway lol.

1. Mine is a 2026 so hopefully I have a few months before it cracks.
2. I’m not seeking the affirmation of the minivan dad. He is just jealous.
3. It’s shaped like a toaster…of course mileage sucks
4. I spent 6 months obsessing over the details of my build. It looks badass and I love it.
5. I don’t care. Extended warranty
6. Every vehicle depreciates
7. They are called stealerships for a reason
8. Jeeps break too. It’s part of the deal.

As mentioned before, when I can't trust it anymore. None of the above otherwise. I like to say my Bronco was built on a Wednesday(guess I could find the blend date). I haven't all had any issues aside from the typical bronco quirks like a m210 pinion seal leak and the getrag rattle.
