I was with a group of Broncos running Top of the World and one of the guys broke a tie rod we had a replacement tie rod installed in about 45 minutes. A good chunk of the time was getting him off the rock and into a better spot to do the repair.
I carry a pair of tie rods and all the tools needed along with the badlands 1.5ton off road jack, just in case.
What are the tools that you need?

Why just ten pages, let's go for thirty or forty!

"Hey folks, I'm not sure I like my OEM Territory tires. What should I swap them out for? Of course, you don't know what model or trim Bronco I have, or what my driving on pavement or off consists of, or how hard or easy a driver I am, or whether it's my daily drive or not, but please give me lots of detailed information and your own personal experience, prejudices, and brand loyalties are. Thanks everybody!!"

You don't mind if I hijack this thread, because tires are mounted on wheels which are next to tie rods, right?

Just joking!

OK, since this thread is officially off the rails I'll ask a somewhat related question: We know newish Badlands and Sasquatch have heavy duty Hoss 3.0 racks and presumably tie rods, and basic Broncos have a lighter Hoss 1.0, people always refer to older Sasquatch having Hoss2.0 (which is true for suspension), but is there really Hoss 2.0 steering hardware that is heavier than 1.0?

Thank you, I was thinking I should look up that thread.

I was told no.

Yeah just two steering racks. I've heard the smaller one called both HOSS 1 and HOSS 2, but the severe duty only referred to as HOSS 3

Well I have the Bronco tool roll plus the Tricky Dick tie rod tool kit with copper hammer, ball joint puller, pliers wrenches I also carry a Battery powered impact wrench and a set of sockets. and the Badlands 1.5T off-road jack.
I have a 4-door and I am beta testing the decked cargo box so I have plenty of room.

Never been a HOSS 1 Steering rack... HOSS 2, HOSS 3 and aftermarket... that is it... Vasher and 74 weld offered full racks... Not sure if 74 is still offering theirs??? Bronc Buster was offering a half Rack but it is starting to look like Bronc buster may not be in business anymore....
