Ford Recalls 179,000-Plus Broncos, Rangers for Front-Seat Issue

Ford’s latest recall affects some 179,700 examples of its Ranger pickup truck and Bronco SUV and involves an issue with the front seats.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2024-26 Rangers and Broncos. The seat frame height-adjust pivot bolt may be loose or dislodged and may not properly restrain an occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect and replace the pivot links and bolts, as necessary, for free. Interim letters notifying owners of the issue are expected to be mailed May 11; additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, which Ford expects will be in July. Those with further questions can contact the automaker at 866-436-7332 (Ford’s number for this recall is 26S30), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.

I'm getting the 25SB5 parts available for scheduling recall letter in the mail today. 26S30 must be a continuation recall. Then I am left with the fuel pump recall fix on my '22.

I think this is not a new issue, but an expansion, as my '22 had 25SB5/25V721 last October.

I just got the letter for my '22 yesterday, with 'Parts Available' So I'm guessing the new round is waiting to see how many get in for the previous one...

Yep...my 2023 has the same recall. Was yours fixed yet? Mine said no parts available and have not received the second notification that they do have the parts. Thanks.

I brought mine in for service and to do whatever recalls were open (I listed them on the appointment) and it appears it didn’t get done because my invoice had a cryptic note from the tech about not knowing what needed to be done. I’m waiting for the shock parts they ordered, so I’ll try again when I bring it in for that, probably next week.
