America at 250: Sharing our Family Values with the People who Keep us Moving

As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, I find myself thinking a lot about the road we have traveled together.

Ford has been part of the American story for nearly 125 years. That is almost half of our nation's entire history. Over that time, we have seen this country at its highest points and stood by it during its toughest challenges.

I have always believed that Ford is more than just a company. We are a reflection of the American spirit. Henry Ford understood that a business is only as strong as the people who build its products. In 1914, he introduced the $5 work day. It was a radical idea at the time. It was not just about a paycheck. It was about building a middle class and giving people the dignity they earned.

Throughout our history, we have always tried to step up when the country needed us most. Whether it was becoming the Arsenal of Democracy during World War II or how we flipped to manufacture personal protective equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have always been at our best when we were serving a purpose larger than ourselves.

I’ve been surrounded by Ford values since the day I was born. Like many of our employees and dealers, I am a proud second-generation Ford employee, following in my father’s footsteps. My parents grew up in rural Nebraska and Ford changed their lives. Growing up, I saw firsthand how much my father loved his Ford colleagues, our dealers and the company as a whole. Those same family values he instilled in me guide me today, and are inextricably linked to Ford’s values.

Today, the world feels a bit louder and the fabric of our country more frayed. It is easy to lose sight of the foundational things that make us strong. I am talking about the dignity of hard work and the importance of looking out for your neighbor. These are the values that have always kept us grounded.

That is why, as we approach the country’s semiquincentennial, we are introducing “American Value. For American Values.” as a way to give back to our fellow Americans.

So what does that actually mean? It is our way of sticking up for the people who keep this nation moving. We show that value every day by employing more American hourly workers and assembling more vehicles here than any other automaker. We are deeply invested in the American worker and the neighborhoods where we live – a mission shared by our more than 2,800 dealers, who do so much for the local communities in which they operate.

“American Value. For American Values” is our commitment to the workers and families who drive this country forward. To us, that means more than just a century of history – it means offering employee pricing to provide the right value at the right time. And we are going to do that from now through July 6 on most new 2025 and 2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles at participating dealers across the U. S.

Our trucks and vans are the backbone for American small businesses. They help the builders and the dreamers power our economy every single day. We build adventure-ready off-road vehicles so you can go out and see the incredible beauty this land has to offer. And we continue to build thrilling cars that capture that uniquely American love for freedom and the open road.

Over the next few months, we’ll be celebrating America’s 250th along with the rest of the nation, with a focus on the people that make this country run.

You are the reason we show up to work every day. You are not just our customers. You are part of the Ford family. Thank you for being part of our story and for everything you do to keep this country moving forward. I am honored to be on this journey with you.

I think historically employee pricing days have been good for Ford sales.
I wonder if people actually pay more on average than when it’s just msrp plus haggling.
I hope it puts a boost in Ford sales.

It’s still way less expensive to just buy your Bronco from Granger.
Possibly. With shipping from Iowa, it was about a wash for me to buy from them or order from a Local AZ dealer.

So... last time they did this it was weak sauce not as good as X-plan.

Basically X-plan but without the fee protections on BS Doc fees etc.

But it did drive sales.

“At participating dealers” being the key phrase. The two dealers in my local area didn’t offer employee pricing last year and Ford protects those dealers by not allowing other Ford dealers outside my area to offer those incentives to me.

I doubt Ford is watching you as closely as you imagine. You can walk into any dealer and get their best deal no matter which “area” you live in.

Typically I'd get D plan plus incentives. When they run this I get no incentives so ends up being a far worse deal.

Should have pulled the trigger on the maverick a month ago.

Good job Ford you crushed the median US average.

As of Q1 2026, the median weekly earnings for full-time wage and salary workers in the U.S. are $1,235, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This equates to approximately $64,220 annually.

Oh wait there is more: He is also crushing the competition:
The median employee pay at major automakers varies, but recent data for two of the "Big Three" showed median worker compensation around $68,000 to $80,000. Specifically, GM reported a median employee pay of approximately $80,000, while Stellantis has reported median employee pay in the range of $68,000.

So I am perfectly fine with the CEO of a company comp being high, who clearly is making a difference to all his team.

The union negotiated those rates. No human is productive enough to be that valuable. We’re being fooled.

You aren't supposed to have it shipped. You're supposed to fly in, pick it up, and then go have your first adventures along the way home. That's what we did--the cost wasn't a lot different than shipping, but we made good memories. 🙂

So What? Are you equating Farley's job as CEO of a 189 Billion dollar company with 171k employees with that of the guy who bolted the wheels on your F-150?

Nope. You’re dead wrong. I tried multiple Ford dealers across 4 states. The dealers run your place of residence and check your zip code for what they’re allowed to offer as far as pricing incentives and rebates from Ford. At least 6 dealers all said the same thing. I wasn’t eligible for the savings others could get simply because of where I lived.

I also spoke with someone on the phone from Ford’s marketing department when I inquired on dealers‘ offering different prices to different people simply based on their place of residence. I thought the dealers were trying to scam me with a false advertising campaign. So I called Ford corporate. The person I spoke to confirmed the dealers’ actions and flat out said my price is going to be higher because I live in an area where a lot of people drive Ford’s so they don’t extend the same incentives to me.

And just checking my local dealer. Their Ford Employee Pricing, which they’ve now supposedly chosen to allow, brings a buyer savings of, not making this up, $20 to $1700 off from the 2026 models that I checked. But hey, they’re Wisconsin’s Low Price Leader, so I should trust their deals as a great buy. Yeah right.

Performance should be the determining factor in determining worth for both workers and management. Some humans are certainly productive enough to be that valuable. :)

My union (law enforcement) got us great pay and benefits but was still an embarrassment. It gauranteed high performers becoming frustrated while poor to mediocre performance became normalized.
