Finally got around to installing my ARB dual compressor and bracket by @4x4TruckLEDs.com. I was inspired by @das solution as seen here, and thought I'd post my results and parts list for anyone interested.

Is there a reason you used to many fittings and didn't just go right into the back of the coupler with the hose???

Yes, the location I choose in the windshield cowl is above whatever that black piece\tray is below it (can be seen in the pic of the hole drilled). The first couple inches of the hose have no bend, so it was not possible to fit the hose directly into the back of the coupler. I started out trying just a 45, but that didn't give the right clearance. I made a few attempts, and was trying to minimize fittings, but the best fit without any rubbing or pressure was the two 90's and a 45.

So is the coupling attached to the cowl with a threaded nut? Doesn’t the rubber on the coupling need to push back to release an attached hose? I’m trying to sort how to do the same. Thanks

Yes that ARB coupling comes with a threaded nut.

Yeah you need to push down the rubber coupling to release it, but it sits in its normally-released position. When you insert the air hose it pops up. Then you push it back to that resting position it releases.

Great thanks! I’m going to try this.

@4x4TruckLEDs I’ll be placing an order for the parts. I’m behind the curve now for my spring break trip. Just fyi it would be nice to update your website to make the adapter required for the single compressor more clear. I was wondering where the air output was!

Got everything installed and tested out off-road last week! Ingenious air chuck location! I can top off tires without opening the hood. I dropped to 20 lbs off-road, and got back up to pressure using an ARB single for just a few minutes per tire. I did lift the hood for that. All in all, great mod and nice package from @4x4truckled. Another thread on the single ARB was also very helpful.

I really like this since I would have to open hood which requires limb riser removal. I may change my layout.

Nice! I was similarly inspired and did the same using Apex panel mount:

The Apex stuff is pretty. I'd already committed to a Morrflate system, but I kinda wish I'd found Apex first.
