I went grocery shopping today, and as I was putting the goods into the back, a woman in the car parked next to mine pointed out that my headlights were on.
I had not unlocked it yet when the woman told me that they were on.
Which one was it? You were putting the groceries into the back or you hadn't unlocked it yet?

How the #!$@ are you guys doing this by accident?
If I knew how it was happening, I would do something to make it not happen.

Maybe the switch is just turning them on by itself as others have suggested. I dunno.

Once haha
I need both hands to count the number of times my wife has left the keys in the house and drove away. Somehow she has made it her mission to get stuck somewhere. What she doesn't know is that the spare key is in a Faraday bag in the tool well in the rear. That way if ever without key and she shuts it off, I can at least get her home without inconveniences

Is this knee rubbing a moar door thing? I am nowhere near the light switch. That being said if it is daylight I turn the lights to off (and trac. control) off before idling down.

Us 2021 and 2022 owners had issue where the lights would just come on at random, Had to replace the headlight switch

I don't know if this will solve your problem but you should be able to set the timed delay to turn off the headlights at zero. The headlights will turn off when you shut off the engine.

As mentioned some earlier models have a faulty headlight switch, just buy a new one. If I recall they’re only about $30. I believe it’s also a different part number.

Not really related, but I was in a parking lot at night last night. When I turned on the Bronco, the angry lady facing me must have assumed my brights were on. Started flashing her brights at me.

So I did end up flashing my brights back briefly just to show her they weren't my brights.

Several people reported that they were hitting the light knob with their knee getting in/out early on. Like @DALOLA i sit far enough away that I’m not having an issue. I can say that I used setting in ForScan to remember/retain the current setting of the headlight switch. I haven’t checked, but maybe that setting can be set to go ‘Off’ instead of ‘Auto’.

Dumb Thought: If you park in the opposite direction you are currently parking in you might see the lights on when you go in the house?

Just mentioning that I understand the issue, but if you re-orient your perspective you can find out if the switch is bad, or if you're making a mistake when you get out?

(So if you pull in forward and walk around the back you may not notice, but if you pull in backwards maybe you will notice the issue)

However, since the late 90's ford was supposed to have a system that would turn off all the "battery drain", so the car would start if someone did this. And you'd think the app would do this as well by notifying you with "Battery Issue Detected" or something like that as it does with flat tires?🤔

lol.... I just tried to rub the HL knob with my knee..... I had to be practically sliding under the steering wheel to get close to it. How the #!$@ are you guys doing this by accident? Do you have your seat so far up you are practically eating the steering wheel? WTF? (I'm 6'4" with long legs, seat all the way back...) 😱
You know, it’s a long drive at night and the wife just wants to make sure you stay awake. Things get knocked around
