No problem, disconnect the battery and we can still use our Broncos like this until the recall is repaired.

Pre production like tooling trials and such would have entered the cycle around this time. From what I have in FMC that information is very accurate
Are pre-production vehicles sold and on the road? For example one with a build date of 9/23/20?
I assumed they were all crushed or discarded.

Is there also pre-production vehicles made before each model year as a test run?

Not sold but still exist as a production count in normal situations. It’s not typical but they do sometimes show for production range especially if they are still using them for testing and mules

Ah okay that makes more sense then. I had no idea all that was included.

I think it was also just confusing because I didn’t realize they did test runs for one MY, while still building the previous one.

For example a 22MY only recall shows build dates starting in October, when 21MY was still being produced. I had no idea there was an overlap like that.

Yeah so specifically to tooling trials and production proveout those are usually batch runs months ahead of MY Job 1 target to make sure everything goes smooth. Around 50 units each depending

They are not looking just for a fix. They are looking for the most cost effected close enough.
Like the rear Bilstein shocks, "If the reservoir hasn't fallen off yet, just smear some RTV on the seam and send it."

Sounds like you are closer to the center (ford) than @Ducati1098 and I out here in the hinterlands (dealerships) . When I saw that early date it took me a minute to remember pre production and show vehicles. Bronco is the only publicly available vehicle we have (that i have seen) that is currently only being built in the calendar year that is the model year .
97 F150 started being built way back in 95 though for that new body style introduction.

The only recall that has my concern is the fuel pump one. I would like to know what the actual failure point is . I don't understand why a remedy has not been figured out by now. Other than that, these nuisance recalls are no big deal to me. Rather they recall my vehicle then ignore the issue.

Screaming inside my head. One more thing to do this weekend. Thanks for the photos jsoa, I know where I can start looking! Luckily I have a big spool of harness tape ready to go.

In the attached it states
"Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to have convolute sheathing with abrasion tape added to their engine compartment wire harness."
