I’d rather have all EV or ICE but do not want the complications of managing both on a long term vehicle.

I keep hearing EVs are dead but in the Seattle and surrounding areas teslas are one of the most common cars out there…especially in the Amazon/Microsoft bedroom communities which my once sleepy little town has become. Every other car here is an EV. I put my $50 on a Slate when announced to use n my 100 mile round trip commute. We shall see how far the final price creeps.

Problem is not everyone lives east or west coast. If you ever been to the four corners or flyover country, plenty of places EV's would do terrible in.

Just time to bring back diesels, feel EV's were a solution to a problem that never truly was

Nah - EVs definitely have a decent niche they can fill. But I agree, they are not some universal option that replaces all others. They have their place, just as diesel does as well.

Sure EVs suck trying to do 500mile+ days but not many folks actually do that very often. But there really is a serious problem with fossil fuels as made clear with the Iran fiasco plus the climate getting hotter…putting our “heads in the sand” lets the world pass us by…anyway this thing is an attempt towards a solution so I wish them well…party on

I have been getting email notices every day.

Not sure if I'll commit yet, at least my early reservation brought the next payment down to $250 instead of $900.

Asking people to pay a non refundable deposit without a final price is pretty #&$@. Been watching closely as I had high hopes that final price would be sub $30k OTD. Plenty of people will buy them up front just to give Tesla a middle finger.

Minus "optional equipment" like AC, power windows, audio, speakers, ...etc.

I saw an interview maybe on this thread, they said ac was standard, power windows are an option. No radio, you provide your own, sounds like a bring your own Bluetooth setup.
The pickup is the basic form. Anything else is an upgrade you can have added at order or buy the kit to build out yourself later.
I think It will be like the Bronco, 1 or 2 years at the into price than POW! It will jump up also.
$25k is to much for that basic platform I think but It is what it is. Lifetime of Inflation sucks.
