Sneak peak!

We just got done installing the next generation amplifier into a 2024 Braptor.
More power, lower distortion, next gen DSP. Wiring was cleaned up before the panel was put back on!

1) it is now optional to run the ACM harness. If you do not plan on upgrading rear pods to 6inch then you can leave the headunit running the center and rear pods and the zen amp DSP can control them. This means the only wire you have to run is the power wire <1hr job

2) this is exactly the install we did, we kept the b&O speakers and just upgraded the sub. Night and day difference and tune file is available!

3) can't comment as we did not.

Are you saying that you will soon be releasing a new amp kit for 2021-2024 B&O Broncos? If so, what’s the timing?

Great news !

On 1) - did you not run the optional ACM harness for your 2024 Braptor install ? And you thought the sound is great ? I'd think if you go thru all this, you might want to run the ACM harness - just in case you upgrade in the Future. I can't imagine it would take that much more time

on 2) - what sub did you run ? Was it a complete sub box ?

I've heard that the next gen amps will be available in 2 weeks ? How long does shipping take after you have in stock - I am in the US. Just want to plan the install ahead of time

Thanks !

Just looked at the photo - looks like you just replaced the B&O subwoofer with an EpicX subwoofer - was it a drop in or did you have to do some shimming/massaging? What was the model number ? Do you know how this compares in sound and install process to the JL Audio Stealthbox. The EpicX be a simpler approach - but want to make sure the bass sound is clean ( not boomy ! )

Also - looks like a new amp? And you ran a separate ground wire from a 1 into 2 distribution block out of the amp. Subwoofer wiring looks to go directly across to the amp. Looks cleaner than factory.

Thanks ! Dan

A quick update:

I talked with Tony at NAVTV ( I believe they are the US partners for mObridge ). He informed me that they are beta testing the new Zen amp for the future release and if all goes well, should be available in 2 - 4 weeks. Note - this product is not yet listed as available and I believe the the current one listed for sale is not available.

He did say that this will work well with the existing B&O system and bring out better performance with the base tune. As noted - you don't have to install the extra ACM harness unless you plan to upgrade the front speakers and rear pods that would require more power. Only the power wire.

Does anybody know if there's an easy way to copy one profile to another? The rax tune file looks pretty easy to modify, but I didn't know if there was a hot key/shortcut in the DSP software.

There definitely is. Fraser created a tune specific to my truck as profile 1 and then copied/saved that to the other 3 profiles as a baseline.

Of course I'm not sitting in front of the software right now and can't provide the steps but I do know it's possible.

Hi - I talked to Tony at NAVTV late last week. They need to do some re-work on this - as they had a few issues on the test batch. So I am guessing not in two weeks.

Hi ! Just a quick update:

I ordered the ZENPower9 kit for my 2024 Bronco - the amps are now in and according to UPS, I'll have it tonight. I hope to start the install this weekend - as I am doing a full Resonix soundproofing install on floor and doors - so routing cables should be even simpler with everything out

Ford Bronco Hi all zen9 kit

Hi All - wanted to follow up on my installation:

In short - the new Zen Audio kit seems super. A few things need to be addressed on install - which I will highlight. Fraser is/was great during the install. I am glad I was able to work with him. However, I did get some mis information from others at NavTV that had slowed me up quite a bit. So if you are working with NavTV - make sure you get with Fraser !

I have a 2024 Bronco Raptor - so got the kit with the the extra ACM harness. Also - I was going to do the install at the same time I was taking out the interior for sound insulation. This made the install very easy. I had a friend helping me - who tears cars apart quite often, he was fantastic at getting all the trim pieces out, as well as putting them back in ( which was more difficult & challenging given the added thickness of all the resonix layers ).

First note: On page 66 of the install ( for 2024 and earlier ), the wire colors of the oem plugs did not match up. Find attached a photo and the colors I had in my Bronco:
White wires went to red/orange and white
Gray wires went to yellow and green
Purple wires went to black and blue
Second Note: This kit does not come pre wired to the existing subwoofer. This is for two reasons - I guess the existing subwoofer wiring was problematic/unrelatable and also that the OEM subwoofer cannot handle the power of the of the Zen Audio amp ( you can turn down the sub gain though ). I found this out from Fraser during the install. He recommended a few subwoofer speakers that can drop in to the oem subwoofer box with a little bit of work and highly recommends that this be done. Since I did not have any of that I just disconnected the subwoofer ( green plug ) and will attempt later on. It would have been ideal to at the time of install - as the molding had to be forced back a bit do to the extra thickness of the carpet from the sound insulation which pinched the plastic trim a bit. Not sure if i want to pull that out again - but maybe it will conform a bit over time. Here are the wiring connections you want to connect if you use the existing subwoofer ( again - turn down the gain ):

so you want to cut the green plug off on the top of the sub box and connect:

Yellow - pink
green - pink
black - pink/silver
purple - pink/silver

If you add a subwoofer speaker to the existing enclousure - I think we will need to know what the pink, pink, pink/silver and pink/silver are and what to connect to connect to the after market subwoofer. Otherwsise the Zen amp has rca out :)

Third Note: On the pre existing DSP settings, the rear quad speakers ( for rear fill ) our dialed down an awful lot. To much so in my opinion. Fraser said you can turn the gains up in the software - but I had not gotten to that stage yet.

So - all in all, a good system, but still a little left for me to do ( get a subwoofer and then massage into the oem sub box ).

Cheers ! Dan
