I know this topic has been thoroughly discussed here, and I’ve done research until my eyes bleed, but most of what it taught me is that I'm pretty dumb when it comes to suspension and geometry. So I’m coming to you all as the village idiot to ask for help more specific to my needs.

I am looking to bring my badlands sas up to 37s. I plan to run the Falken Wildpeak AT4W 37x12.5 most likely on the factory sas wheels at first, eventually I’d like to upgrade to some KMC Riot SBLs or the KMC Dirty Harry wheels if I can’t get the offset to work for the Riots (options of -12 or +10 for the Riot). I will be mostly doing trails and some light rock crawling, but certainly not pushing the rig to the limits. Think off-road trails or finding hidden fishing spots. I’d like to achieve 37s without spending a few grand on new shocks and a full system, but I also don’t want to be worried about geometry and things breaking while I’m out there. Again, certainly not going as hard as some people here, but it’s not going to be a pavement princess either. I should also mention I live in CA and will be taking this thing to Tahoe fairly often, hence the Falkens, I like their snow rating.

I have looked at a few options, and I’ve seen a lot of information on most of them, and then there is one option I’ve looked at that I can’t seem to find much on. I’m also open to other suggestions. I really want to hear from people who have a similar use case/build path and hear their experience. Here are the options I’ve looked at:

  1. SVC Coil Spacers: $160 - https://svcoffroad.com/products/2021-ford-bronco-coil-spacers?variant=44178803261752 - I like that this option is very minimal and low cost, I also like that it doesn’t change the geometry. But I have concerns about its ability to truly fit 37s and allow them articulate. I’d prefer not to trim if I don’t have to.
  2. Readylift 3” SST Lift Kit: $1k - https://www.readylift.com/2021-2023-ford-bronco-3-sst-lift-kit-sasquatch-package-equipped.html - I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on this kit. I like that it says it doesn’t change the geometry, it seems like a reasonable price point for what you get in the kit. My first concern is the offset requirement, it says you need to run +18 offset, how does that effect the setup with sas wheels, or for example the KMC Riots which only go up to +10 offset? My other concern is I’ve seen a few folks saying that the UCAs will rub against the shocks which can cause problems, is that true? This seems like a popular kit though, and feels like a good option if the UCA rub isn’t truly an issue.
  3. Skyjacker 3” Kit: $1k or less with sales - https://skyjacker.com/shop/suspension-lift-kit/fb2130mspb-3-in-suspension-lift-kit-with-metal-spacers-and-upper-control-arms/?ymm_vid=4472&ymm=2023-Ford-Bronco-Badlands+4WD - This kit seems very similar to the Readylift, but I can’t find much about them online. Shop seems reputable and I like that they are family owned. Price point is slightly better than Readylift, and I’d love to support a smaller business, but also want to make sure I pick the right option for my expensive @$$ rig lol. Has anybody used this kit? Any feedback on necessary offset, clearance, etc? Can anybody tell me if this kit will maintain the geometry of my badlands sas?
  4. Zone 3” lift kit: Less than $700 - https://zoneoffroad.com/products/3-inch-lift-kit-ford-bronco-21-23-with-sasquatch-package?variant=42331943436376 - This kit also seems to be popular, and obviously the price point is great, but I have concerns about durability and ability to handle trails etc. Again I’m not pushing this thing to its limits, but I do want to feel comfortable going through trails and exploring off the beaten path.
  5. Open to other suggestions as well

I would love to hear any experience with these kits and any pros and cons people see about my approach or the options I’ve selected.

Signed,
The Village Idiot

My 3" body lift is great now for 3 years... I would stick with a 2" if you don't want to do some minor mods.

I’m using a zone and so far so good. I don’t see any reason why you think it would not hold up. I run a lot of trails and there has been zero issues.
You can run a 1.25” wheel spacer on the front until you get your offset wheels also.
I have no plans to change my wheels and will run the spacers permanently.

All those kits are basically the same… I would pick ready lift of the three but skyjacker has been around forever and I ran the zone lift with stock 35s and it was fine until I switched to 37s which overwhelmed the stock yellow coilovers (not a problem with the kit)…I guess I am a more aggressive/demanding driver than the folks who are happy with folks with these kits and 37s…I now recommend 2.5” coilovers for 37s…whatever you will need 3/4”+ spacers on stock Sasquatch wheels and maybe UCAs if camber cannot be adjusted properl…good luck

PS: I got the zone kit and coilovers taking up space in the garage if ya want to come pick them up…

I guess the low price point gave me a scare, sort of a get what you pay for thing, but glad to hear that’s not the case

appreciate your input, and love the rig!

Makes sense, I’m ok with minor mods, just want to avoid going to far down the rabbit hole

I appreciate the help, I saw your setup a bunch while researching!

Option 1 works with a JKS Max Tire clearance kit. Removes crash bar & replaces a body mount 🤠

You may want to look at some adjustble coilovers so you can dial in the height the way you want it. I went with the ProComp adj coilovers when there were some good sales going on. I did not end up needing UCA's to get aligned but I'm sure it would have helped. The stock Sas wheels will most likely rub on the inside with 37's, you would need wheel spacers to push them out some. You are better off getting aftermarket wheels that usually weigh 7-10 lbs less than the stock Sas wheels and help offset the heavier weight of taller tires.

Here's my base Sas with ProComp coilovers with about 2" over Sas up front and about 1" in the rear. You will want a rear trackbar relocation bracket as well.

If you're gonna be in the mountains, you want to keep your CoG as low as possible. 3" on a Sas is a lot of height plus you're past the point of no return on the suspension maintaining stock geometry (generally considered 2-2.5"). Personally, I'd ask why you want 37's, and if you do feel you need them, go as little lift as possible to fit and upgrade your shocks to handle heavier, bigger tires. Keep it low enough and you won't need a stage kit or new UCAs, plus you'll be kinder to your CV joints.

I'd also try to stay 0 or greater on offset, so the +10 would be a good option, and Cali is supposed to be pretty narrow for off roading. I'd look at the ProComp VSRT's or the Bilstein 6100's and try to maintain 1-2" of lift max. Also you'll want the JKS Max Tire kit.

If you go adjustable, which the ProComps I believe are and the non-Ford Performance 6100's are adjustable, you can move the circlips up if you find you rub in your tests.
