Just received a letter from Ford informing me the rear camera now has a fifteen (15) year one time replacement warranty should it fail. I had the rear camera recall carried out about a month ago. Doing the math , fifteen years makes it more than likely a “ life time warranty” in my case. Lol.

That's really great! I can't imagine the horror of having the rear camera fail, I wouldn't be able to back up! I mean, how could I possibly see - no way I would ever turn my head or look in my mirrors, that is way too much to ask!

I wouldn’t be surprised if a non-functional backup camera would cause your Broncos to fail a safety inspection in some jurisdictions. This plus resale makes the 15-year warranty a nice ace to have up your sleeve.

Exactly! Even before any rear camera recall all of any vehicle I wondered if inspection failures due to the rear cam would cause resale issues. Imagine having to pay to have one replaced in order to sell.

Absolutely. They're required to be on any new vehicle so I would definitely think it would fail for not having a functional one.

At my age, I'd love a 15-year warranty on my carcass.

I'll be 85 then and unlikely to be able to turn my head, so this is good news!
