Clutch & Cylinder Failed at less than 900 miles. Dealer denied warranty claim

The constant crap you pull never will cease to amaze me. Few people are getting a manual to 'avoid' the cost of a slushbox.

Many prefer to DRIVE their vehicle.

Slushboxes are not fun for me and for many others.

When you limit the availability, you limit your customer base. Period.

I think you are underestimating how cheap I can be ; )

If they were the same price I would have taken a long look at the automatic.

We rented an expedition once and I was pretty impressed with the 10 speed transmission. It was definitely a huge step up from the "slush boxes" of the past.

I realize nobody is going to say they can't drive a manual great, but I've had 4-5 manual cars / SUVs / Trucks over the years, and never had a clutch replacement at less than 150k miles....

For one to go out on a brand new car in less than 1k miles to me is just bonkers -- even if they were a terrible driver. I'm not disputing the clutch is burnt up, but under 900 miles with a seasoned manual driver without some kind of manufacturer defect?

I would deny your warranty also.
Regardless of what failed, in my opinion, for that clutch to be that destroyed it was slipping for quite a while. Just the fact that you probably ignored the smell and slipping would be a good basis for denial. I see clutches like that on semis on a daily basis. On automated manuals never the less. It is never the fault of the parts.
Plus how much is a clutch for these? Even with labor is it over $1000 if even?

Looking at that clutch disc the friction material was mechanically ripped from the disc on one side. To me that could only happen from a foreign object, defective part, or installation error. You can ride the clutch all day,every day, and that wouldn’t be the result in my opinion. Ford should apologize and repair this vehicle. Nevermind the clutch is not a warranty item, something seriously went wrong here.

No. I see burned up, fallen apart clutches almost on a daily basis. This is a classic case of overheated clutch- burned flywheel, pressure plate and a clutch that is falling apart. How and why it happened is irrelevant. What is, is that the owner, or I should say operator ignored all signs of the slipping clutch- revs not corresponding to acceleration, the smell... Agan... The exact case scenario I see almost every day. By that I mean the operator doing everything they shouldn't at the signs of a failing clutch.
I had a clutch starting to fail from Pittsburg to Atlantic city and then from Atlantic city all the way back to Chicago. Had no issues nursing it back.
I had a driver bring a tractor trailer with a failing clutch from Atlanta to Chicago with no issues either. That's the one guy out of 100. The other 99 got towed and clutch was incinerated.
There is a pattern to this. There are many nuances to "knowing" how to drive a manual transmission and knowing how they operate and I include automated manual transmissions in that category. Even tho they are considered basically automatics.

Most job discussions start with a dealer quote; unrealistic or not you commented with your question. "Plus how much is a clutch for these? Even with labor is it over $1000 if even?"

The answer, at this point, seems to be: under $1000 might be just as unrealistic.

My question was pretty straight forward, the sarcasm should have been pretty obvious also.
Your smarty pants comment was basically stating the obvious also that you have no clue either. Clutch and pressure plate look to be around the $400 mark. Extra parts and estimated labor of 7-10hrs book time(according to google- yeah I don't have more toilet time to do further research), depending on who and how they are doing it all and all it doesn't look to amount to more than $2000. It's a simple manual transmission and a clutch job. You don't need cerified ASE, Ford, 30 years of experience and all that nonsense for a clutch. I'm not undermining anyone's labor or knowledge but rather stating simple well known facts and having some experience, being around the area. I just recently had clutch replaced on an M5 for about $1700. Yes I know the difference.
I have mechanics here replacing clutches, CPCAs additionally countershaft brake kits, airlines, rear main seals and including the time to re-learn clutch and trans at 5hrs.
So yes REALISTICALLY any self-respecting mechanic could probably do this for far less than 7hrs. Yes... $1000 is far more realistic than $8000.

So no matter how much OP cries about his clutch and how expensive it is and bla bla... Unfortunately it's his own fault and he needs to man up pay someone to replace his clutch and move on with his life. Ideally not $8000... but I guess that's his choice.

Clutch Kit (Parts): ~$1,654
Slave/Master Cylinder (Parts): ~$100–$300
Labor about (10+ hours): $1,000–$1,500+

We agree $8000 is apparently unrealistic unless the "failure" caused transmission or other component damage the dealer is including in the estimate.

I grew up driving Ford MT from the age of 12 on the farm and massively abused MTs ....we never lost or wore out a clutch.

Just another Ford defect from its lowest bidder vendor practice and ongoing refusal of covering warranty liability in its new realm of hyper active ignore, delay, dismiss, deny, and remedy process that takes multiple dealer vists to get warranty refusals VS cash paid work that takes one visit.

Imhave always asssumed clutches have zero warranty, just like brakes but when it disintegrates its clearly a defect and safety hazard that warrants a complaint to NHTSA.

Because it wasn't "just driven around"...
You need to keep in mind your stated vehicles are somewhat design for abuse. The Bronco has a low range and a crawler gear. Never meant for clutch abuse or at least for as low as possible clutch abuse.
