I finally got around to installing the brace today. I used the slot closest to warhorse logo and tailgate maxes out just past 90 degrees.

First, I have the Warhorse tailgate limiter and it works great.

I helped a friend order one a couple months ago. We both kind of forgot about it and it has never arrived. I sent an email a few weeks ago and no response. I just tried to get on their website and the site has "expired". Same for Hammerbuilt - 404 Not Found error.

Are they still in business? Anyone have a good link for them if they are still around?

I reached out to someone that knows them. Apparently they are out of business.

Thanks. Too bad as it's a good product.

Also too bad that they have apparently scammed my friend out of her money!

The first two options below (M2M & Rack Adapters) appear to be very similar designs to the Warhorse / Hammerbuilt tailgate limiter product and are available now.

Mountains 2 Metal, $185, Made in the USA by bald eagles that nest in the Statue of Liberty's crown https://www.extremeterrain.com/mountains2metal-bronco-tailgate-range-limiter-br6tgrl.html

Rack Adapters, $100 https://www.etsy.com/listing/1707571350/bronco-tailgate-limiter-black

RTR also offers a tailgate limiter with a different design. Since the reviews I saw were not good, I did not include a link.

Just pulled the trigger on the rack adapters setup, I like the garbage holder. Nice added functionality for unused space ha.

Rack Adapters looks like a nice option. I went with M2M and have really liked how sturdy the tailgate feels when it hits the limit I set. On both brands you can choose how far the tailgate opens. You can't go wrong RA's built in bottle opener and trash bag holder. Smart design.

45 minutes and a extra piece of aluminum channel and boom💥 I do have to say that these things are extremely overpriced for as easy as they are to make.

Okay but does yours have WARHORSE cut out of the material? That’s right. Didn’t think so.

I might just have to write “BAD PONY” with a sharpie😂😂
That would be awesome, especially if the handwriting was like a 3rd grader. Do it!

Mannn now I need to return mine lol though I usually only fuck with steel, not much aluminum scrap laying around. What do you use to form the curves? Been trying to use my usual methods (carbide tipped dremel bits) and on alum it just goes nuts on me. No control whatsoever.

I write like crap left-handed and it wouldn’t look like a third grader. I’ll get my buddies son to do it with a paint pen.

I drilled two 7/16 holes for the plastic bag holder and then one hole for the bottle opener and just use an angle grinder to connect the dots. I have quite a few little files and I ended up having to take the blade off of a hacksaw to finish the cuts on the plastic bag holder.

Here is a sketch and it’s 1-1/2 x1”x 1/8” wall channel.
