This week I finally got my special order 2026 4dr Badland non-SAS and it comes with Goodyear Territory RT 33" tires. I read that these were really Wranglers but Ford had "Wrangler" replaced by another "Goodyear". So I have only had this for a short while, but they seem loud to me at moderate/low speeds, like 40-50mph. They have a "whine" sound. It may be me. I haven't had a 4x4 for a long time, but I thought I would ask the forum, if anyone can comment. If they are loud, are there better off-road capable tires that are quiet ... I heard Nittos are pretty quite. I want to stay will similar sized 33"-34". Your comments are appreciated!

The GYs are a very good middle-of-the-road (pun haha) tire. They don't necessarily do anything well, but they are a good compromise between traction, weight, noise, and capability - probably leaning more towards fuel economy than anything else on that scale (which is why Ford chose them).

They certainly aren't the noisiest tire out there, but it is possible to find quieter ones if you dig deep enough. Of course, there are always trade-offs.

I'll also say - I have run GY MTs (not the newer RT), and I currently am running Nitto Ridge Grapplers. The GYs were quieter, but not by a lot, and better in the snow (but again, not by a lot). But I like the Nittos better in the rain and off road.

No, not at all! I was mostly interested if these tires were louder than usual. I used to run original BFG AT and even MT on my Toyota pickup and 4-runner and just don't remember them making so much noise at low speeds. At highway speeds it's expected.

Can't speak to the new RT's, but the prev gen MT's are "relatively" quiet, for a large AT tire. Of course, such things are pretty subjective, so it depends on your reference point. Every true AT tire is gonna make some noise, relative to a AS tire, and of course, size matters too. I have the 35" MT's, and as stated, feel like they are impressively quiet, given the tread & size. I have Falken Wildpeak AT3's on my Maverick, and they are slightly less noisy, but they are also a lot smaller.

So yeah, aggressive tires make some noise, some more than others. I think you will find, if you compare, your RT's are probably on the low end in the category, all things considered. Also, make sure you play around with air pressure, that can really dial in your ride quality, if you're interested in such things. 🤠

No. The wheels came black, but had chrome lugs and I had already purchased black wheel locks, so I replaced the chrome with black ones from Amazon.

Sell the tires when new and can still get money. Destination XT are very quiet and look the business.
