Thinking I’ll go with an engine bay install, seems closer to the battery for wiring. Any problems with engine heat? But I want to route the hose connection somewhere out side while protected from bad outside obstacles.

Maybe a connection in the fuel door pocket. My thoughts are that it is better to have a short power run.Thinking I’ll go with an engine bay install, seems closer to the battery for wiring. I mounted my dual ARB within the AGS Airgate this past weekend and ran a 4AWG THHN wire from my 500A battery cut off switch through the driver’s side grommet, under the driver’s side threshold, across the back of the rear seats (in the wire chase), behind the passenger rear cargo area and into the swing out tailgate. Of course it was wire managed along the way to ensure no chafing and properly secured within all the applicable wire paths. My ARB brushless twin air compressor and DV8 compressor Mount have arrived. Now I just need to decide which wiring option to use to extend the wiring, what length hose to get to mount the air connector under the bumper near the hitch. I’ve had a busy weekend so far so I haven’t opened either the compressor or the DV8 box Yet.
Hello @Darcyjs14last year, around May, on the Idaho BDR, rounded a corner after 2+ hours on the dirt and came across a giant flock of sheep and two herders on horseback.
Love seeing the country from the BDR trails

If doing it in a Braptor the DV8 storage tray is a slam dunk.I see two replies here saying they mounted the ARB Twin under the hood, and this is in the BRaptor section. Can you share a picture of there it goes? Everything I read says it wont fit there.
I don't know about slam dunk, $300 is a bit of money to spend on a way to mount it.
I know folks have used the ARB dual in the DV8 storage box without issue - but when I was looking at options and asked DV8 about running the compressor with that lid closed - this is the response I got. I generally don't plan to empty the back of the rig to need to air up, so being able to run with area closed/covered was a consideration for me.If doing it in a Braptor the DV8 storage tray is a slam dunk.
I have the slide out tailgate as well, so that leaves a nice pocket in between and gives me the ability to "move stuff" without fully unloading and create more venting if needed.I know folks have used the ARB dual in the DV8 storage box without issue - but when I was looking at options and asked DV8 about running the compressor with that lid closed - this is the response I got. QUESTION -
For the Ford Bronco Compressor Mount & Storage Box - can the compressor be ran with the storage compartment closed/covered? Is there any concern for heat build up without having that area open when in use?
DV8 RESPONSE -
Hello Jeanette, thanks for reaching out.
I reached out to my tech and they do recommend to have it open when in use to avoid it heating up quicker then normal.
