I Got my 25 badlands last summer and I dont take it offroad every weekend but at least every other. THe thing I have found is that the MT tires mine came with really throws rocks. ENded up chipping the 2 front doors then added mud flaps etc. but really Id like to preserve the paint as I dont plan on avoiding taking it offroad just because there pinstripes possible going on narrow trails and lets face it, these things arent narrow.

I priced out what it costs for someone else to apply this stuff and I got real disinterred as its all over the place starting at like 1500 bucks and going up to 4K.

If anyone has used PPF, fill me in on the matter.

I have SunTek Ultra Defense 11 mil on my 23 Badlands. After 77k mile and lots of brush, the paint still looks new. It's nice going through brushy roads without even thinking about it.

I have Xpel PPF covering every painted surface on my outerbanks sas. It’s worth every penny. I was able to buy it at cost though and install it with my buddy who did film installs at the time.

My wife goes through the touch car wash at least once a week sometimes more and the film looks like it did on day one. It’s been on the Bronco for 2 years now.

I have Xpel on all painted surfaces as well. I agree with Tucker that it's worth every penny. Saved my paint on numerous occasions.

I have the Xpel PPF on the front of my hood, the leading edge of the front fenders, the windshield surround, rockers and the lower part of the sides/doors up to the indented seam on the doors.

It works great and has fared very well so far.

I have full xpel stealth ppf and ceramic coating on my 25 braptor. Paid 8k. It’s worth it so far, protects the paint and makes the vehicle easier to keep clean. I worry less which is always a plus.

I was thinking of doing xpell ppf as well. What is anyone’s long term experience with it? Like 8 or more years in (yes realize 6g broncos have not been out that long but on any vehicle). I have heard it’s very difficult to remove at that point which has kept me from doing this. I will keep my bronco long term. It won’t last forever and will need to come off at some point.

My previous pickup truck had Xpel on it in various spots and it was 8 years old when I traded it in.

The Xpel was still in stellar shape. No issues whatsoever.

Granted I am OCD about my vehicles and it is garaged stored so not sitting out in the winter or in the blazing hot summer.

I’ve been running XPEL Stealth PPF since I got the Bronco. I’ve taken it offroad a few times with no visible wear. I do have a few permanent marks on the film exactly where you mention you have the chips, on the lower rockers. To me though, this is the point of the film and those would’ve for sure chipped the paint. 100% worth it even just for the stress reduction when I pull out behind a dump truck full of gravel.

Damn. I have to restrict my time on this forum or I'm going to go broke. I've never heard of PPF before, but now, after a Claude chat, on my list for next week is to call a couple of installers for pricing.

Ask them if it is self healing. We were in Death Valley and put a huge gouge in mine. Took a hair dryer when I got home and you can't even tell where it was.
