Well, that is a significant amount of torque increase over the tune for the 21-24 motor (essentially same HP however). The other tune claimed 385, though the limited amount of dyno and 1/4 runs posted here has me believe 360 ish and 300 ish on 93 octane (or more) is closer to the truth.

Since the rumor around here is that the clutch for MT Bronco's is good for about 400 ftlbs, I wonder if the 25+ motor has an upgraded clutch? If not, Ford feels it is good for more then 400, unless they know they are over rating it is really 390ish 😜
The FP tune nu bers published are likely very conservatinve at best....

I think the only thing conservative is how much power the FP tune actually picks up. Typically 20whp and 35 wtq from the 2.3 dyno videos I’ve seen.

Very low cost highly reliable warranty backed performance gain thats likely better in real world with fresh air and RAM CAI compared to poorly ventilated zero fresh air typical dyno service. where one run, usually on poweer sapping ovesized tires, is all you get before heat restricts everything.

No sense pushing fragile 2.3 too much when excellent 2.0 builds are affordable and proven stout although the endless supply of used 2.3 and 2.0 is great either way.

Why bother though when torque monster 2.7 with FP tune in sport modes is so good. Can always change wet belts proacrively....likely cheeaper than new blocks.

All of this aside, Ford isn't going to understate the tune gains is basically what I was getting at. The FP tunes simply don't pick up very much power. It's far from "pushing" any engine, even the 2.3

I will disagree Ford always understates power outputs like every OE mainly so they dont get sued. Usually there is fine print re elevation, temp etc as well.

For sure FP tune is not a massive gain compared to aftermarket tunes especially basement ones but the 2.3 has great power curves.

Either way cant go wrong w 2.3 with a few $K innmods or 2.7.

Well we can agree to disagree then, but there is nothing that supports this claim.

It really comes down to whether one has the capacity or desire to have a cash or credit reserve of $20K+/- (time, materials, shipping, incedentals, shop) to replace a non OE tune blown motor. If so...whey not just transplant a Godzilla or built coyote from wrecked Mustang.....

Thanks again, is it easy to install and did i read somewhere that there is a warranty of some sorts if the dealer installs it? I am not that confident when it comes to this stuff. Thanks for your input.
If a dealer or an ASE (USA) or Red Seal (Canada) technician installs it, it comes with a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty from the initial in-service date of the vehicle.

It replaces the factory warranty for much (but not all) of the powertrain components with a Ford Performance warranty.

So... when all is said and done, it effectively reduces your powertrain warranty from 5-year/60,000 miles to 3-year/36,000 miles. Easiest way to think about it.

Those are some impressive numbers from the new MPC. I can see how this motor put the squeeze on the 2.7.

Consolidated to just one engine option for the 2 door.

I think most people that modify anything understand the potential risks. But as long as you use a reputable tuner, it’s really a non-issue. You’re still going to need the same amount with the FP tune past a 36k miles if something happens 🤷‍♂️

70k miles on my bronco, ~35k of that has been on a custom tune. Daily driven making 500 whp and I’m not even slightly worried about it. Way past warranty already, so why settle for less when more is fun.

Godzilla or coyote is going to cost 2 or 3 times as much at least than simply replacing a factory engine. So that’s kind of a different conversation

Really helpful. And the Ford Racing warranty issues can be serviced at Ford dealers the same as the original warranty?

Yes, your dealer will just need to contact them for approval of any work.

Yeah @Ducati1098 is correct.

When you install the tune it gets noted in your vehicle's profile in the dealership service portal in big bold red letters. Instead of going through the normal warranty process they just have to call up the Ford Racing line and go through them.

That's only for issues related to the tune though. So if you had engine issues, it would most likely go through the Ford Racing warranty process. If you had... say... and issue with your infotainment screen, it would still go through the "normal" factory warranty process.

Thanks to both. If I do it I was just thinking to have the dealer where I would get service install the upgrade...
