Just talked to Eric at Ford Performance. They were hoping to have the PowerKit available by the end of the year. It got pushed back until 1st quarter 2026.
Noticed you’re in CA like me…
Did Eric think it will be approved for use in CA too.

I agree. An electric or Hybrid Bronco would be too heavy and probably disappoint in range/fuel economy. The 2.3-liter EcoBoost with the 10-speed has plenty of power and in Sport Mode it rocks. I have no issue pulling out into tight holes in fast moving traffic. In my opinion, most people overpay for too much Bronco.
Some interesting news, Jeep coming up with a fully electric SUV. Ford will probably follow. Heavy it is, but fast and with 650 hp, more geared towards daily driving, EPA of 80 Mpg (not bad) and range of 250 miles tops (my 2 door badlands 2.3 engine gives me 250 mi in the City and 300 on the highway). He did say so, although the 49 State could be offered first.

Any anticipation that this tune will be a bigger bump than for the previous 2.3 due to being able to push more fuel, or is the limiting factor the turbo's flow?

Neither the turbo or the fuel was limiting the last tune. They just simply don't raise the power that much. So I wouldn't expect it to be too much different.

Pardon my ignorance, is this something you order on your own and take to the dealer or have the dealer order and install for you. In short, how do you get this done? Thanks again!
You can order direct and self-install

Thanks again, is it easy to install and did i read somewhere that there is a warranty of some sorts if the dealer installs it? I am not that confident when it comes to this stuff. Thanks for your input.

Awesome to see it makes more hp/tq than the previous years! Bummer they couldn't include auto-stop memory and rev matching considering it's not CARB legal.

Well, that is a significant amount of torque increase over the tune for the 21-24 motor (essentially same HP however). The other tune claimed 385, though the limited amount of dyno and 1/4 runs posted here has me believe 360 ish and 300 ish on 93 octane (or more) is closer to the truth.

Since the rumor around here is that the clutch for MT Bronco's is good for about 400 ftlbs, I wonder if the 25+ motor has an upgraded clutch? If not, Ford feels it is good for more then 400, unless they know they are over rating it is really 390ish 😜

Yeah the numbers that Ford publishes are always flywheel numbers, so it will always be roughly ~15% (depending on a lot of factors) less for actual RWHP due to drivetrain losses.

The clutch is the same for both 2.3’s. But the 400 ft lb number is really just a rough guesstimate. Until someone actually pushes one, which I’m sure is just a matter of time, it’s hard to say for sure. Possible it could hold more than anyone would expect.
