… “If any of my fellow manual owners can leave a comment”

… “Yes you can order a manual bronco”

@RagnarKon

Your yearly Bronco manual transmission review video needs to be within BG6 …. It helped me to Special Ordered one and understand what’s different about them.

👍👍👍👍👍

Anyone else averaging 15 MPG in the winter? I’m running a bit heavier tires - but, it was never this consistently low in my 2021.

With the winter blend gas I'm just a hair over 18mpg...summer blend 19mpg.

Yeah, that’s what my 2021 was. I always ran 93 in my 2021 (FP Tune).

I have my tire size dialed in. I blew through my last tank of 87 in my 2025 in 222 miles. Fuelly says last few tanks were 11.5-13 MPG. I thought maybe 4A has something to do with it.

That's about where mine is, but I also drive around town in 3rd gear so 🤷‍♂️

Wow, that's crazy. I did a 300 mile fishing trip last weekend and averaged 18.3 running in 4a the whole trip running 93. Maybe it's the low octane?

Same. Majority in 3 or 4. Hilly/windy backroads. My 2021 would still pull 300 miles on a tank. Might run some 93 for a while and see if it saves me a few bucks in the long run. Especially if it gets a bit more pep in its step.

All I've run since my first fill from the dealer is the 93, so I can definitely attest to more pep when I switched. Better fuel economy? I didn't notice any difference. I do notice that my fuel seems to drop like a rock under -10C (14F). It really seemed to drink it this morning on the way to work at -24C (-11F). No idea why the economy is so much worse in the cold. I suspect it's running the port injection more in the cold, which I think is less efficient, but gas engines are not my trade.

My 2025 manual base has been sitting for a couple of months not used to keep it out of the salt here on the roads. I drove it yesterday and with the BG Syncroshift 2 oil in the transmission now it really shifts smooth. Not a single crunch or noise I guess after I assume the syncros were basted in the new oil over that time. The original factory fill transmission oil was not up to the task.

They just laid the stripes of brine on the road here yesterday for some reason. I won’t take mine out until a good rain happens first. Will be tough as we are going to get close to 60 next week. Glad to hear the different oil seems to help. So far, mine has stayed quiet.

I run outside all year round. The beet juice brine they lay has a distinctive odor. Not awful, but not pleasant either. I haven't noticed it this year, but it could be timing as it has to be sprayed before the snow on dry-ish pavement.

I think they were predicting a chance of freezing drizzle the other night. Rain predicted several days this coming week then turning cold again. Maybe another month before mine pokes it head out.

With load range E 35 inch tires on my Badlands I’m getting a hair over 21 and that’s mostly putting around town.

Octane will have zero effect on your fuel mileage. Take it from a petroleum engineer.

That's a significant difference. My short commute kills my mileage (around 1 mile) - but after longer trips I notice it's a bit better. My 2021 never seemed this low. Did you adjust your tire size via Procal/Forscan?

I realize that stock speedometers are always off by 10% or so - which has to effect my overall MPG since I adjusted it to be 100% accurate.
