I have a 2025 base. Now with 3500 mile on the manual transmission, I changed out the trans fluid to BG syncroshift 2 today. It shifts really nice now. Kind of bolt action and quick. Before it was smooth, but could not rush gear changes 1-2 and 2-3. It would kind of mild crunch unless you slowed the shift. Now it is like a bolt action quick and very smooth. I think the Chinese oil factory fill is some kind of dual clutch fluid. Very impressed with whatever BG puts into their recipe on their trans oil. Snick, snick, snick is all I can describe how it works now. The little crunch is gone. Works better and better as I put some more miles on this fluid and heat cycle it some. I kind of hope Ford did all the research on lubricants, but you never know. Maybe someone with high mileage on a non oil changed unit can speak up on life at the higher mileage on original fluid. BG is about $30 per quart and it takes 2.5 quarts to do the 7 speed.
What is BG? Couldn't think of that brand name.

I ordered about the same time you did. The first manual transmission builds for 2025 models were the week of April 28th. I don’t know if anybody ever found out what the holdup was.
So, I must have one of the first 2025 7MT produced. It was registered as a Ford fleet vehicle with 10 miles on 4/18. Carfax shows that it was shipped to original dealer on 3/14 and the window sticker says it was invoiced 4/16 - but, I can’t find the blend date on my window sticker.

Ford drove it 8,225 miles in less than a month because they put it up for internal auction on 5/8 and it sold on 5/21 with 8,235 miles. I bought it on 9/29 with 8629 on the clock.

Wow. Right on. I wonder how many other 7MT were built before April 28. I noticed the "Place in Line" is 12/13. Am I wrong in saying there isn't a blend date code on that window sticker?

WTF $4,995 for matte film protection. How can you justify that cost?

It’s a pretty reasonable price for a full body PPF, especially considering it’s covered by Ford’s 3/36 warranty

Good luck getting certain insurance carriers to pay for a proper repair in the event of an accident. And you won't get it back in the event of a total loss...but I digress.

That’s pretty on par with any quotes I’ve gotten from PPF installers. They’ve been between $3500-5500. The funny part is somewhere along the line they removed it. The dealership in CT that I bought it from received it the vehicle with it removed. As was the badges and the rear Bronco emblem. But, not the Ford logo. Strange. That saved me $5k. I’m interested in PPF, but don’t think I want Matte.

It’s a factory installed option, so I’m not sure why it would be an issue getting that replaced. But I suppose that’s a specific insurance company thing and a whole different conversation.

I was credited about $200 on a ~$5K option when they valued my F-Type. I should have put it on my Hagerty policy but I didn't want to be limited on miles per year...

I definitely understand it for maybe an Italian car, but not any American or Japanese car. Over 10% of the sticker price is hard to justify unless you specifically love the color. I thought about going with a purple to cover my white sporty car after I had it for a number of years just as a change, but it is hard to justify vs. the cost of a set of tires and 2 sets of brakes.
As for warranty my wife's car will be out of warranty at the 15 month mark. Our 2012 XTerra paint still looks good after 238k miles assuming it is fresh off a detail.
