I am another who would not own a bronco if it was only available in 4 door. Have my 24 HLE 2 door with the V6 and all of the options that it came with. I also would not own the Heritage if I didn't get it for nearly 20% off of sticker. Today I was offered $58k for it from Carvana so holding its value quite nicely. Third time their offer has gone up. I like to see what they offer so always put my VIN's in their system. Today's offer is $6K more than the first one they sent me. So I feel Ford will phase out the 2 door completely soon. Maybe not but as for the 4 vs 6 debate, I would be happy with the 4 or 6. Maybe happier with the 4 as I am getting 17MPG max with my HLE and V6. My old 2 door Wildtrak was managing 21 easy with the same engine. I was hoping for the same with the HLE but the heavier badlands trim really cuts down the MPG. So my fave config is the 2 door wildtrak with V6 but that is gone now. Th 25 Stroppe is the only model to bring that option today but couldn't fathom spending $74k on one with the wrap on the hood possibly having to be replaced every few years. Looks like I will have to hold on to what I have as I will never get it again. Four door is not an option for me (looks like en enlarged ford flex with new paint and updates to us) and all we ned is the 2 door, just me and my wife living in the woods on bad roads. The Bronco gets us through the deep snow with ease, we enjoy it. Just yesterday it got us through 10-12 inches of fresh snow that covered our long 1200 ft long driveway. My wife's Compass AWD could not get out of the garage and got stuck instantly, too deep. So we have the Bronco for our bad roads that get full of snow, mud and at times, get flooded. The 2 door bronco is our vehicle of choice for this kind of stuff and any model would do it for us but I like having 4A, heated seats/wheel and adaptive cruise with auto high beams. Use all of them as it gets dark as coal here at night ; ) Long story short, we love our 2 door V6 HLE and hope that Ford always offers a 2 door as that is indeed where the Bronco heritage comes from. There was never a 4 door bronco until this new version.

The 2 door with the 2.7 is a combination for the enthusiast. It's a limited market and has basically already been satisfied in the first couple of years.

Who knows maybe Ford will bring the 2.7 back to the 2 door in limited release.

The 2 door is part of the Bronco DNA and Ford would have a falling out with its core base if they got rid of it.

I wouldn't even own a Bronco if it was only available as a 4dr.
I'm with you. If only the moar door is the option, that opens up competition for me to every other brand.

That Land Cruiser would be on the menu for me in 4 door trim for example. I rarely take my top off, so that's not what's keeping me in the Bronco.

What does keep me in my Bronco is that it's a 2 Dr, V6, Badlands, Squatch, Lux. If I lose this one to a wreck, Bronco may not make the cut. A Braptor deal would have to be very attractive for me to stay in a Bronco.

Glad I bought in when I did. As I have gen 1 broncos I did not want a 4 door. Not knocking them, just not for me. Being single with no family, 2 doors is one to many, LOL. The little Stroppe routinely get 21 1/2MPG out on the road. Im really interested how the mordoor Stroppe will sell. It seems counter-intuitive. Only people who have a knowledge of what a Baja Bronco was would be interested in the color scheme. But those same folks may have the preference to having it n a 2 door, like the original. We will see.

There is no replacement for displacement. Remember when Ford replaced the 7.3 L diesel with a 6.0L, then a 6.4L, then a 6.7L. Looks like 2027 will produce a new engine between 7.3 and 8.0 L. A big deal is the number engine revolutions to produce the power since that is a big factor in determining life expectancy of an engine. Four cylinder engines simply have to spin more to produce equivalent power. Lets see how many 4 cylinders are on the road in 200K miles. Ford is pushing buyers to 6 cylinder Wranglers! 3.6L V6. The market place will solve this problem for Ford.

Good god, talk about a boomer take lol. You do realize that some of Ford's most reliable engines were inline 4s like the duratec, the zeta, and Lima engine series used in all manner of long living Ford vehicles, right?

Are the speakers enhancing the engine sound?
I don't believe so as it sounds like that when my wife leaves our house and I'm in the yard. We have the "base" sound system in ours, not sure if the higher end stereo does it.

Sadly, take rate tends to be driven by the 'gotta have it today' buyer, which means dealerships create their own self-fulfilling prophecy, just as with manual transmissions.

With the manual, so many models have been the absolute base, often saddled with the puniest of engines. If you HAVE a choice, the buyer is then stuck ordering and waiting. But since so many won't wait, the manufacturer declares nobody wants the manual.

Same thing with poorly optioned 2dr offerings. The stealership then guides to the profit center of moardoor even though that isn't what the customer WANTED!

If a 2dr manual had not been available to order, Ford would NOT have me as a Bronco customer just as Jaguar lost me when they quit selling a manual-equipped vehicle. If they still sold them, I would likely have gotten a new F-Type to replace the one i lost on Labor Day. It's also why Jeep lost me as a Gladiator purchaser and Nissan lost me on the Frontier.
You may be onto something here. I will say the vast majority of 4 door Broncos I see around here are all being driven by a woman by herself in the car. Now, I'm retired and tend to be out in the middle of the day so maybe they all have kids in school and are using this time to run errands?

Most reliable and longest life are two different things. By most measures, Ford inline 6 "300" is considered the most "legendary" engine. Great history there and reasons for success. Maybe the best four cylinder - "Offenhauser" is another great lesson in engines, but even those engines were based on displacement - outputs per cubic inch. Couple that with fewer part (reliability) and design to withstand extreme compression ratio they became an Icon. So after all the great engines the common success factor is DISPLACEMENT ! Modern technology is keeping small engines alive, but that does not mean they have a lot of potential.

Probably this boils down to money, but how does offering no 2-door V6 earn Ford more money? Typically auto makers are always making upgrades available to get people to pay more, but not in this case with no engine upgrade offering.

Does the V6 cost so much more to manufacture, install and warranty in a 2-door Bronco, that Ford loses money even when up-charging? Or is it another option ploy to make V6 buyers buy a more expensive 4-door? Or is Ford short on V6 availability, and wanting the V6 for other vehicles? Inquiring minds want know.
The answer is simple, the take rate for the 2-door is small so its not worth it for them to offer a lot of options.
