Needed rear brakes. I don't mess with the electronic parking brake.

Dealer prices
Rear Pad Set - $146.99
Rear Rotors - $151.50 each
Labor - 1.5 hours - $149.95

Total Cost for Rear Brakes - $599.94

Is 90-100% or over what you can get from the OEM parts sites like Lakeland, Levitown, etc standard?
mb3z 2200 d - $70-85 online
mb3z 2c026 a - $85ish online

I knew prices wouldn't be that good at a dealer, but it felt a bit excessive.
Is this the norm for dealer pricing?

Honestly, I'd call them borderline.
I made the appointment for pads only, they called and asked about the rotors - said there was a couple bad spots & a "rust ridge" on the edge of them.
I gave the ok for the rotors - service advisor also told me they were $123 each.....that's a whole nother thing.
I'm in an inspection state (PA) & my sticker is up in April, so if they failed in 3 months, I'd be right back getting them done then.

Those prices are marked up a little from MSRP, but that’s pretty common for most dealerships.

The other places you mentioned are wholesale sites, so obviously those will almost always be below MSRP, typically those are cost +10-20%

Pads at cost are $72, MSRP is $120
Rotors each at cost are $74, MSRP is $123

Yeah I expected it cost more than wholesale....I guess just not that much more.
So it sounds like the "sales" tactic is to quote MSRP, not the actual price you pay...
Guess it's a good gig if you can make 100% on your cost...I know we can't get away with that in fabrication & manufacturing lol.

I mean if they quoted you MSRP, I certainly wouldn’t be paying anything other than that.
And if they’re asking you to, I’d say they have some explaining to do lol

Yeah. I'm gonna call tomorrow & ask about that.
Somehow I doubt I'll get very far since it was just over the phone that he said $123.
But I did look that up on the Ford website & see that it was like $123.17 to order direct from Ford.

I dropped the vehicle off last night & I wasn't going to get there to pick it up before they closed, so I just paid over the phone & didn't see my itemized receipt until after got in to leave.

They also had a coupon for $25 off brake service, that I had mentioned when scheduling & printed & left with my keys when I dropped it off & they didn't do that either...

I think you’re being taken with the rotors. Very typical with dealers and any break shop.
But maybe they actually measured them and you’re close to needing replaced. Unless your over 100k or race that pig, my money is on you don't need rotors.
I just hate seeing people getting scammed.

I'm at 75k miles & we do run it pretty hard in rally events
I don't think the rotors were a "must" either, but I didn't want to need another shop visit anytime soon.

Glad to hear, sounds like you might be ready for new ones.
Like I said I hate seeing people taken advantage of and I see it pretty often. I just had a shop put our van on a lift look me right in the eye and say the suspension is shot needs entire new suspension and give me a nice big quote. They did not even look at what was on it or they have seen the stickers on the brand new kyb struts I had just installed, I was at the shop for alignment after I installed them and some other new suspension components.
I said oh I’ll get back to you and had them put the van down and left. Did not even get the alignment done. One more place to never recommend anyone to.

Yeah, I'd probably get it all done at once as well.

Is there anywhere else nearby you could get an estimate from?

Yeah, one of the reasons I asked here if this was a typical price is because I haven't had a vehicle worked on by a dealer in like idk a decade?
Typically I try to do everything myself.
I just didn't want to mess with that electronic brake.
I'm not upset that I needed rotors - I knew it was a possibility. They amount of markup sounds pretty insane though.

Your prices sounded in the range of normal dealer prices to me, at least around here they are comparable. One of the reasons I do most myself. Well plus I actually enjoy wrenching on cars. It’s a sickness.

It's already done lol.
In hindsight, I probably would've had it done at an independent shop & just let them get Napa stuff.

I had it at a dealer because I had another issue that was something a dealer needed to do.
