I don't mind it, but I have no idea what half the stuff does on it anyways. It looks cool enough, so I'm sure they'll sell a few, especially if they can keep it in the $50K's. I wouldn't buy it anyways since you can't get a M/T. I guess they couldn't figure out how to pair their fance gadgetry to the M/T......

Bringing over the 'Stang people with RTR, next they'll just bring King Ranch to take over OBX for the rich mall/ranch people.

I think the original stickers with adventure destination jeep-style names will be replaced eventually with more traditional Ford badges like XLT, Lariat, Timberline, Tremor, King Ranch, Raptor before they do a Gen 7. These names never felt very Ford or Bronco heritage anyways as they were just a 2021 marketing exercise for the relaunch. The RTR is essentially a better Wildtrack. I wouldn't be offended if my BB non-SAS was a Timberline or XLT Fx4 model.

One of the dealers in my city claims to be selling a Bronco RTR as a 2025 $20k over sticker of $55k. Maybe just a lead generation honey trap since the Car and Driver article got lots of views.

That is helpful...

But where it the ignition occurring? Fuel goes through engine, but ignition system there is disabled, and it doesn't get mixed with air until it hits the wastegate outlet.

Is there a sparkplug in the turbo?
Is the turbo just so hot the fuel/air mixture spontaneously ignites, kind of like a glow plug?

Also, if it makes my Bronco sound like that Lancer - no thank you. Watching that video you'd think the anti-lag was fueled with old Taco Bell burritos and bad beer.

In the dunes, a lighter front end makes the Bronco more flickable. It dances over the sand rather than digging into it, making it feel more like a desert pre-runner than a traditional rock crawler.

The turbocharged 2.3-liter engine is ripe for upgrades, too. We upgraded it for high-speed off-road driving by taking the 1,000-watt cooling fan from the Bronco Raptor. And then we added our software-operated, race-derived anti-lag system.

The new 25 2.3 MPC already has been updated turbo /exhaust designs to reduce lag …

I like that they state ‘ built for sand’ … ‘built lite’

I purchased a 25 badlands for more sand liked outings… figured I could remove the heavy skids (BRapter’s run AL front skid) and got a 2dr manual. Could have purchased a BRaptor just not my style… as this one either if no 2dr.

So I see a need for a new model for Baja / Sand, not sure if this is it…

I don't buy the "save weight" angle.

You don't start from the point of a 4-door and then claim all this stuff is to save weight.

They could have saved more weight going with plastic bumpers, as there is less than 100lb delta between the 2.7 and 2.3 weights.

They are just claiming it's there to save weight so you feel better about it.

I have a lot of RTR parts, and really like the OEM-like quality, finish and fitment - they are like OEM+ for the bumper, sliders, tire carrier etc. I wish they had a full front winch tubular bumper to match, but that would be the fun haver one, and it’s never been in stock that I’ve seen.

The 2.3 configuration is maybe 100 pounds lighter? But then they went four door which is 300 pounds heavier.

I like my 2023 2 door Wildtrak I recently bought used with just 10K miles on it.

I'm also damn glad the original owner paid the $15K depreciation and not me.

I agree. It's flashy so it will sell well in South Jersey. Will look great going 80+MPH down the Garden State Parkway only to be parked at a Multi-Million dollar beach front property.
