I'm not sure what it was stock, height wise as I didn't have the Brap stock for very long when I bought it and didn't think of taking measurements at the time.

But I did do some wheel well measurements (after the APG Fenders were on) when I had Hyperco 2" coils installed. There was 10" of fender to top-of tire clearance in front and 9" in rear. Overall Braptor height was 80" (or 6'8" tall).

The new King coils still have some settling to do as they are obviously brand new with low miles on them:

Front is 12.5" (2.5" taller than the Hyperco's):
1000012768.webp

Rear is 12" (3" taller than the Hyperco's):
1000012769.webp

Total height of the Brap is about 83" right now, so about 3" higher than when I had Hyperco's. So that's probably close to 7" taller than a stock Braptor on 37's when comparing this King coils setup sitting on 40's?

As for wheel travel, 17" front and 18" rear. Stock Brap is 13" front and 14" rear travel.
I bet you’ll probably drop around an inch after the springs get broken in and settled. Was curious on the specific up and down travel with how high it looked to be sitting; it’s likely really well balances up vs down. I sacrificed a bunch of uptravel on mine by setting it as low as reasonable. It only comes out to 2” of suspension lift over stock. We’ll see what the final numbers look like after everything is installed, of course

I think a better term to use would be Rigidity. They are both still box frame so its pretty easy to add cross braces, but I have yet to hear someone tweak a frame off road. Also if you really want you can add the braptor top braces which obviously reduces flex at COG.
I will work on some frame flexing for you... they get looser with time!!1 I bet @SierraBronco knows!

I forget who pointed it out, maybe @87-Z28 or @GreyZ , but some frame flexing was noted in a picture of wifey’s rig. Hard to tell in the thumbnails but I think it was one (or more) of these

They stopped selling all the separate parts as they are only focusing on full vehicle builds

The question that is on everyone’s mind is how does the APG suspension handle pot holes? 🕳

@Squatch, @mdainsd

Consider the stronger and stiffer frame (50%) and body, larger/stronger CVs and knuckles, stronger transfer case and clutches, larger brakes and rotors, increased tire clearance, etc.

@22broncoraptor - Will you be working toward no rubbing F&R at all steering angles? With 40s is this going to be a significant challenge? Is APG doing your whole build? Love their stuff, but their prices are ridic...
Please tell me where the Braptor CVs are bigger or stronger than the sasquatch equipment broncos....spline count? Axle diameter? CV bell, Star, race? Or the SUPER GAY IWEs....? I'll wait....

Transfer case? Really? How do you know? Just because the part numbers are different, Doesn't mean there's been superior improvements made.

My buddy in Eugene (works at Kendall ford) bent his BRAPTOR frame at the dunes ...they are NOT much stronger than original bronco...he had to get a new frame. Lol

Look, I didn't mean any offense or to imply that you can't ask questions. I can see I could have worded my reply better.

I just meant that no matter what you mod, the Raptor is a better starting point unless you massively modify the entire non-Raptor rig starting with the frame.
Only if you can chop it,weld it to ommit the extra doors tho.

Fair points. Could use stronger validation. What I based the CV conclusion on is wording from Ford, different part numbers and their nearly certain accomodation for much more power, travel and width.

Oddly one spec seems to indicate Raptor CVs Ard lighter than Wildtrack CVs, that, and spline count and diameters could be misleading if superior materials ard used.

SO Your hoping the Braptors came with Ford Performance style shafts?🫡🤔 yep that's where your extra $$$ went.🤑

then stating it as facts....🫡

HIGHLY DOUBT IT...If so, then my Ranger Raptor MUST have the awesolmely super duper CVs as well🤣😂🤪

FOR THE RECORD.... ONLY THE BRONCO DR came from Ford with upgraded CVs , shafts and 32spline UFDU.
All others are 29 spline! And others have shown trail fixes with swapping Braptor CV Balls, and Star and Cage were IDENTICAL to Sasquatch units. Only the center bars and stubs are different...Braptor gets the tiny axle nut.

Quoted directly from Ford.

Competition-level, Ford Performance-developed axles, also used on the Bronco DR race truck, further deliver on the Ultra4-inspiration. The solid rear axle is upgraded to a semi-float Dana 50™ Heavy-Duty AdvanTEK® with 235-millimeter ring gear, while the Dana 44™ AdvanTEK front-drive unit includes upgraded half-shafts with 210-millimeter ring gear. These upgraded front and rear axles increase the track width by 8.6 inches (73.6 inches versus 65.0 inches) over a base Bronco for even more sure-footed confidence. Larger front and rear driveshafts support increased wheel torque. Bronco Raptor also runs with a minimum ground clearance of 13.1 inches, 4.8 inches more than a base four-door model.

An advanced 4x4 system with three modes includes a higher-capacity clutch designed to withstand the demands of high-performance desert events. The upgraded transfer case also features a 3.06 4x4 LO ratio for up to 67.7:1 crawl ratio.
So the axles and half shafts are different/improved but the CVs aren't mentioned. Seems unlikely they would be identical. Also, if materials or heat treat are different, size/shape alone doesn't prove identical!

This also says a stronger clutch. Is the clutch the TC, no. Seems like a judgement call. I'm happy to revise the main post on this point if you advise.
