New OEM SAS Tire?

New RT looks like it might be a bit quieter. I know some people don’t think the MT are loud but for me it’s on the newer grooved highways they are putting in around my area. Blacktop and smooth concrete not as much of an issue.

The tire on the left is an Atturo. Ran a set of 35s on my last Jeep before buying my Bronco. They are a great tire for the money.

Site says the 35 is 70 lbs / 37 is 70 lbs how can that be?

Yes sir, I haven't ran them before but they look promising. True 35" and 45,000 mile warranty. Will likely go with the Arturo for the next set after the factory Territory are done.

Site says it 34.5 not a true 35

Don’t know about weight. They’re quiet, they handle decent on pavement. Off road reviews are mixed. They pick up a crap ton of gravel when you encounter it.

Anyone run the new RT in snow yet? I've got 43k miles on the original MT and they have noticeably less traction than last winter. I was happy with them last winter. I really want something different but having trouble stomaching $1600-$2,000 for tires when I can get the RTs for $800.

havent run them in the snow yet. Looking like we may get some on Tuesday so we'll see. But daily driving them around town and on the highway, i have no complaints at all.

Last I checked, the only online snow reviews for this version of the RT were from Tacoma Trailhawk guys who got them as OEM tires. Just a handful of reviews and they all crapped on the winter performance.

Yea I saw those reviews but that's a very different version. 11/32nds tread vs 16/32nds and who knows if it's even the same tread compound.

Not worth a damn.... in my opinion.
All it really means is , in snow it gets more traction in a straight line than a standard passenger car tire with the "m+s" rating ... which is pitiful to begin with. Also, the "m&s" rating has no performance test required, just a design spec for the tread. (25% of tread surface is open grooves)

Almost all review and testing sites have now found that there are non-rated tires that perform better in winter conditions than the 3pms rated ones, it just depends on whether the maker wanted to pay for the required testing to get the rating.

Looking for good winter traction in an AT type tire?
Mickey Thompson or Nokians are the answer.

Mickey Thompson or the K03 in D load are what I want. But I want to get 5 so the spare matches the same size. That's a cool $2-$2200k with current prices. Trying to wait for the next dealer buy 3 get 1 for $1 sale to look at prices.
