Hey yall,

I don't intend to discuss politics. I saw this while browsing online. And yeah… those aren’t rock chips. 😅
The windshield looks like it went through a full-on action movie scene. I’m talking “John Wick test drive” levels of damage. That's crazy. It say a “PATROL” written on the side, so maybe it was part of a film set or some kind of security demo? Or maybe someone just took the whole “bulletproof off-roader” thing way too seriously.
Either way, this thing’s seen more drama than my ex’s Facebook page.
The poster said it happened in Denver. I'm just curious: in the US, where guns are allowed, do off-roading and camping enthusiasts go out of their way to modify and strengthen their vehicle's glass, especially the windshield?
This seems necessary for safety reasons. Perhaps considering the glass's bulletproof rating?

Doesn't look anything like gunfire damage, Looks more like angry ex-girlfriend/boyfriend...

Impact center is way to big for any bullet that wouldn't have penetrated.

Oh wow. Very scary. You should definitely start putting bulletproof glass in the offroad lights you sell, or somebody might shoot them out and result in a deadly crash.

The State Department regularly buys vehicles and up-armors them for use in other countries.

Land Cruisers are the vehicle of choice - real ones, not the Prado (aka what Toyota now has dubbed a Land Cruiser for the US).

Is OP seriously asking if people kit their broncos with bullet proof glass for off roading and camping? This has to be a troll or baiting, I refuse to believe someone actually thinks that everybody who goes out for the weekend will be involved a gunfight.

Idk man… One could make the same argument about schools. And we are where we are with that. 🤷‍♂️ Someone watching the news from outside might think that if such issues happen in schools and on the streets, why not in the bush, which is much less regulated. Not that I think like that, just looking at this from their perspective as outsiders

I thought the same thing! Just because you live somewhere guns are legal doesn't mean it's Mad Max everytime you jump in your Bronco.

The comment reminded me of a former co-worker of mine. He had made friends with a guy from Europe and he came on vacation to Utah. While he was here my former co-worker took him to Cabela's. He said they were walking around the store and all of a sudden his friend disappeared. He found him crouched down behind a row of shelves. When he asked what he was doing, the friend replied that there were guns on the wall as was sure at any moment they would automatically start shooting and killing people.
