IMO after installing the B&C brace kit my soft top Bronco is totally silent over even huge road craters at speed and it's rides better.

I believe there is so much body flex that the hard tops can't take the stress.

Someone with a hard top should I stall the kit or see if Raptors (installed at factory) have hard top issues...if they do then it's clearly not body flex.

Concur. If anything, it's the installation of the windows at the factory that starts these cracks.
Nope. Glass installers come to the dealership to install the glass on replacement tops. And guess what. They crack later on.

It's good to have a friend at Ford HQ
Are you sure about that Adam? Your engineer friend, at Ford HQ no less, assures you the problem has been addressed. Yet here you are with a brand new 2025 Bronco with a MIC top already showing signs of cracks! If he/ she was a true friend they would have told you to stay the hell away from the MIC top and recommended you get a MOD top.

I will assuredly consult with you before I make my next purchase as you are obviously an expert Mr. Wizard - thanks so much, not sure how I got by without your advice in my prior 60 years of life. Thanks so much 👍

Scores of people on here have discussed how shitty the Mic tops are for the last 4 years. Some people have had them replaced under warranty only to crack again. Many examples of brand new ones on the lot with cracks. Some, like me, got lucky. So far mine has no cracks but I know it will some day which is why I have been on the lookout for one with a MOD top. There is no way I would buy another one with a MIC top. You did after the advice of a friend at Ford. And honestly what are they going say? How fast would they be canned if it got out they were out bashing their own product? You got impatient, ignored the mountain of evidence piled up all around you and you come on here bashing the MIC top and then get your feelings hurt when someone asks you about it.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll be 59 this month. Nothing like two old codgers having a spirited discussion on the 6G huh. Not near as much fun as busting each other's balls over a beer standing around a campfire!

So, what happens to these cracks over the long term? Do they keep getting bigger? Does it get to the point of separation? Does anyone have pictures of ultimately what happens? Is it just a cosmetic issue?

Aren't they still being produced by Webasto, not Ford?

That's why I decided, after hanging out here for a while, to never ever ever get the MIC top. My soft top has no cracks and the Armadillo top coming soon isn't going to crack either. It it weren't for that top I'd have gotten the new painted one for 2025, or else the top from Turn.

So, what happens to these cracks over the long term? Do they keep getting bigger? Does it get to the point of separation? Does anyone have pictures of ultimately what happens? Is it just a cosmetic issue?
One of my concerns since I became aware of this issue is eventual water penetration of the cardboard interior of the top as cracks extend and perhaps expand over the years. That would be really bad news - both a ruined top and a health hazard from mold. I haven't heard of this happening yet, but there is no way I'd trust the MIC top for the long term.

My 2022 2 door outer banks top was replaced 5 times. The last top was starting to do some swelling due to water getting in the cracks. Ford did a RAV, bought a 2024 Badlands 2 door, started cracking at 800 miles. Traded it in. Truly enjoyed the Bronco while I had it.
