Purchased the car from an out of state dealer due to the great price (local dealers couldn’t compete). First day I had the car I noticed the rear left tire was lower than others and within days it was very obvious it had very slow leak. It takes a week after filling it to get to 32 PSI. Looked it up on this forum and people had the same issue so I figured I would wait until I had to go to the dealer since it was a hassle.
Fast forward to today, I ordered the pro cal or whatever it’s called and have to get the dealer to install. Called 5 times through out the day and couldn’t get through to anyone on Service. So I called the parts department and asked if I can pick up the part and take it elsewhere. They said they would refund the install fee then I realized I used a discount code and my ford pass during the purchase. I asked how can I make sure the refund account for it and he just forwarded me directly to service. After speaking with Service they said they can’t warranty the tire stem issue because they don’t know if it was there from day one.
I asked for Ford customer relations number, he gives me the number and I double check it with him. Turns out it’s the wrong number. So I look it up online and call it from Fords website. I get forwarded to Marketing somehow and then have to be forwarded to customer support again. After explaining the situation for the fourth time I got no where. She then said the dealer has to determine this and she can’t help.
Should I call Goodyear and use tire warranty?
Good dealer customer experience is a priority for me. I’m loving the Bronco otherwise and while it’s one of other cars we own this is my first Ford. We are fortunate enough that the cost of trading it in at a loss is not a problem..
Anyone dump the brand or ready to do so because of the experience dealing with Ford and their dealer network? Is this normal? Trying to decide before Monday (installing the Procal)
