Purchased the car from an out of state dealer due to the great price (local dealers couldn’t compete). First day I had the car I noticed the rear left tire was lower than others and within days it was very obvious it had very slow leak. It takes a week after filling it to get to 32 PSI. Looked it up on this forum and people had the same issue so I figured I would wait until I had to go to the dealer since it was a hassle.

Fast forward to today, I ordered the pro cal or whatever it’s called and have to get the dealer to install. Called 5 times through out the day and couldn’t get through to anyone on Service. So I called the parts department and asked if I can pick up the part and take it elsewhere. They said they would refund the install fee then I realized I used a discount code and my ford pass during the purchase. I asked how can I make sure the refund account for it and he just forwarded me directly to service. After speaking with Service they said they can’t warranty the tire stem issue because they don’t know if it was there from day one.

I asked for Ford customer relations number, he gives me the number and I double check it with him. Turns out it’s the wrong number. So I look it up online and call it from Fords website. I get forwarded to Marketing somehow and then have to be forwarded to customer support again. After explaining the situation for the fourth time I got no where. She then said the dealer has to determine this and she can’t help.

Should I call Goodyear and use tire warranty?

Good dealer customer experience is a priority for me. I’m loving the Bronco otherwise and while it’s one of other cars we own this is my first Ford. We are fortunate enough that the cost of trading it in at a loss is not a problem..

Anyone dump the brand or ready to do so because of the experience dealing with Ford and their dealer network? Is this normal? Trying to decide before Monday (installing the Procal)

I don't think it's fair to throw FORD under the bus due to lazy Dealership personnel. You might not want to buy another Ford if the Dealership you speak of is your only option, but luckily there are 2,832 other Dealerships in the U.S.A. to take your business.

Sooooo, you bought out of state for the deal, but trading at a loss isn't an issue? And good dealer customer service is important to you?? 😵

Dump it, make better decisions next time. 😉

Just to make sure I understand... you are regretting a vehicle purchase and ready to trade it in for a loss based on a non-warranty tire stem issue and install fee refund confusion?

My wife had a 19 expedition. Endless issues. $3000 every 6 months. She bought a 2025 Honda crv -31 mpg and nicer in the snow than the expedition!

I still bought a Bronco because it’s cool
And I’m willing to pay thousands a year to be cool

I own a 2013 gt500 too. 9000 miles. I barely drive it. I’ve had the differential fixed twice. Leaks. It’s got dash squeaks. Brakes have a mystery squeak ford can’t find. I own other “fun” cars. Underside of the gt500 is noticeably worse for suspension corrosion than others. Ford just doesn’t build great cars. Not sure if they ever did

Wife’s Honda? Flawless.

Fords not Honda quality.

Broncos still cool-9000 miles. 0 issues so far. Very happy with it. If I have to pay $6000 every year to repair things I accept it . So far I’m good

Go back to late 60s
Endless gm and Chrysler muscle cars still exist. Barely any torinos or cyclones left. All rusted into dust.

Sometimes time is money, spending hours fighting a $16 repair may not be your best investment. Dealers are independent, and unfortunately many are pretty poor, and some are downright horrible. In my metro area none of the 9+ dealers are even close to competent, for a valve steam leak I'd got to a tire shop and forgo the hassle.

The tire warrantee doesn't cover the valve stem.

That's what happens when all competition is blocked or crippled...just ask folks who lived in Soviet states in the 1980s if they had similar service haha.

I just fix myself if possible takes less time than visiting dealer 3 times for a simple repair...

I found that out years ago. Bought a new car from a GM dealer about 30 miles from me because of the good deal. Took it to my local dealer down the street for an easy fix. The service guy said to me..."Did you didn't buy it from us? Take it to the dealer you bought it from. We are booked up for weeks." ..... I got the message. Bought myself a dealer service manual instead.

Life's too short to get this worked up over little things. Any tire shop will have you fixed up in a few minutes and probably charge less than you have spent on time and gas going to the dealer. Move on. Live life.

Blaming Ford for the way it was handled is same as blaming 7-11.

Yes. You made a big mistake buying an American vehicle. Most dealerships of the American made vehicles are employing rude, uneducated, dumb, and lazy personnel. Unfortunately, educated, polite, customer service oriented, intelligent, and hard working American people don't usually aspire to work in a car dealership. It's vastly different with other (non-American) brands.

Take KIA or Hyundai for example. They employ the smartest, most polite, educated, good looking people (especially women!), and they do whatever it takes to make you happy. To illustrate the level of service you will receive, I'll just mention this one thing. They will give you a massage while you're waiting for your vehicle to be serviced (with special aromatic oils). Certain customers even get a happy ending. You will never get that in any American branded dealership.

Last time my best friend owned KIA, he was sabotaging that thing once a week, just to be able to schedule a service appointment. Fuck Ford man, go foreign!
