Need a car shipping company

Has anyone here shipped a car across the country recently? I’m moving from LA to Boston and don’t really want to drive the whole way. I’ve never done this before so I’m just trying to figure out what’s legit. Someone mentioned A-1AutoTransport, but I’m open to other suggestions too if anyone has had a good experience.

I've shipped a Bimmer from Cali and an FJ cruiser from Colorado to the East coast with them. No issues or complaints.

We use Reliable exclusively. They cost a bit more, but they are top shelf covered transport.

It's a pretty standardized industry. Basically, you get what you pay for. White Glove Service costs alot. They also put together group shipments. So if time is not an issue, that could be the way to go. Just make sure to verify their insurance.

Used RoadRunner Transport from Granger to Florida. Bronco arrived day earlier than expected as there were no other vehicles on the transport. Other than killing every bug in the midwest, there was no issues.

Not cross country, but I've used uship twice now, once for 400 miles and once for 800. Very affordable and both drivers were great.

Just drive it yourself. I know you said you don't want to, but that can be it's own adventure for you and your family.

Used Roadrunner to ship a Mustang GT from Cali to Florida with no issues.

Do not use the cheapest. They get you to pay a deposit, then tell you no one will take the bid and hustle you till it gets to where you should have been. Also small companies arent always properly insured and you WILL get stuck. Literally personal experience with all of it.

You need to decide open or closed transport. Closed will cost more.

I used Bears Transport – Auto Transport , move my car , ship my car from Granger Ford to Va. in an enclosed trailer. Cost was on par. Arrived early and driver stayed in contact with me from 2 hours out. Nothing but good things to say about Liz and Bears Transport.

Yes, a few months ago I shipped my Bronco and Motorcycle from New York to scottsdale, Arizona using Plycar. They were fantastic. They’re not cheap. It’s an enclosed car carrier that is owner operator and they do not use third parties at all. Bronco and Motorcycle were delivered In perfect Condition.
