Tire pressure for new tires

I just rotated my factory Goodyears. The center is wearing out on the rears and I run those at 25 psi. The fronts are wearing fine at 29 psi and I also have a winch mounted up front.

Not so sure why everyone runs so damn much tire pressure. Do you guys like being bounced all over the place?

Those pressures may work for your F-150, but running 37 psi on my Bronco wore the centers of my tires badly. Ford recommends 39, but that's definitely way too high and severely shortened the life of my tires. That is fine since I want to get rid of the GYs anyway, but I won't be running anywhere near that high on new tires.

Most run both front and rear in the low-mid 30s on any brand/size.

Good advice. My 37s showed a big too much wear in the center at 35 psi warm. Going to reduce to 32-33.

Nice setup — those Wildpeaks are a solid choice. Your pressure logic looks good on paper, but 50 front / 30 rear might feel a bit stiff unless you’re carrying a consistent load up front. I’d probably start a little lower (maybe 45/32) and tweak based on ride feel and tire wear.

I’ve been doing some digging lately on pneus camion lourd prix for another rig, and honestly, load ratings and pressure charts can get super nuanced once you factor in weight distribution and tire type. Always worth adjusting after a few drives to dial it in.

Because 25 looks flat and feels like marshmallows

Stock tires must be wildly soft. I'm running 35 12.5 20 Ridge Grapplers (F rated) at 25psi, and they are still kinda stiff. They have very slight deflection at the pavement, and corner great. The alignment shop pumped them to 40, and it was AWFUL.
