What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

  1. I wish the plastic resisted scratching better.
  2. I wish the upgraded steering rack was a bit cheaper, its clear that this setup was originally intended to be released at launch but took time for parts to be available, but glad that its now standard
  3. I wish the middle screen had a physical "screen off" button.
  4. Some better interior lighting, I've fixed it with aftermarket.

1. CarPlay!! Seriously Ford??

2. Sound system! Seriously Ford??

But it goes places and does things pretty much no other vehicle can do ( without a lot of expensive modifications). Way to go Ford!!

I love my Bronco it is a blast to drive. I do not like the lack of memory seats at the price I paid-but it is a good excuse to not let anyone else drive it. The lack of a rain gutter on the top is annoying, but not "hate" for sure.

**No CD player? does any new car come with a CD player?
**Raptor owner complaining about needing 100 more horsepower?

I hate that it draws attention.
I just want to fly under the radar and have people take no notice of it.
I get gas, I have to talk to people.
Get groceries, have to talk with people.
Why do I have to people?
Hmmm, nobody has approached me or talked with me about mine in the 3 or 4 months I've had it.
Do I look grouchy? Do I need a shower?.... really, I'm a nice guy. 🍻 (usually).

One improvement I would like to have, is to replace the electric parking (no longer emergency capable?) brake, with a good ol' manual pull-up handle and cable design, down on the left along the driver's seat -- like the rally Volvo had.
Now, THAT parking brake could be used as a "turn assist" feature on the trails,

I'm sure others have experienced this. But I hate the attention it attracts. Living in a beach community and one that prides themself on their physical fitness, I expected more girls to be attracted to my Bronco. Instead, mostly old dudes want to admire the Bronco. 😒
As a man in his 20s this has also unfortunately been my experience and the only thing I hate about my Bronco.

The auto stop button is my #1 complaint. It needs to stay off until I push the button again. Not reset every time I start the car
This isn't a Bronco thing. It's an EPA thing. All Fords do this. If the button remembered it's setting, then Ford wouldn't get the extra EPA brownie points.

WIth the CAFE penalty going to Zero under the new budget bill, maybe 2026 will finally eliminate ASS or at least make the button remember.

The only think I actually hate about the Bronco is the stupid electronic parking brake. I would much, much rather have a cable brake.

Other things are minor. The dashboard is hot trash, with an analog spedo behind my arm, and a bar tach that's impossible to read. Mustang or F-150 are lightyears better designs. And we should have a big, giant, physical push-button to disable the main infotainment system.

I don't think they are "true" rain sensing wipers. I read something about them being a "smart wiper" that sense the load on the motor when wiping and will slow down the speed of the wipers in certain conditions. Which for me is all the time and then I can't see and have to fiddle with the switch every 60 seconds. It's at best an annoyance and at worst dangerous if you ask me.
There was a voluntary program to re-program the computer to allow higher wiper motor current so it wouldn't slow down as much.

Since I live in AZ, and it rains every other year or something like that, I told Ford to go away.

I love everything about it even after 2+ years I still can’t believe I drive a Bronco.

However, since we are here, if I have to be picky it’s the cupholder situation. $50k on a vehicle and I seriously only get TWO cupholders? The back seat could easily have had the center console pull down cup holder or even in the back seat. Maybe the higher trims have it, but not my Outer Banks.

thank God for that aftermarket parts tho 😂
Have you checked your pull-down backseat armrest? I have two cupholders there.

I'm old grouchy and potentially stinky and no one checks mine out anymore either.

But @EvilJim1971 is feigning modesty, his Bronco shouts 'Come Look at Me' and deservedly so.

2-Door's really should have power seats available. My Bronco stickered over $78k CAD that's a lot of money for manual adjusting seats. Also as someone mentioned the location of the parking brake is not ideal. Would have been nice to have it on the console somewhere as it's kind of tucked away.

I love my Bronco. I enjoy this car more than any car I've ever owned. Its not even close.

Here is what I hate about it:
  • Frameless windows are garbage. They constantly need to be relearned. They constantly rattle. They have to be all the way up or all the way down. Can't crack the window unless I want to wobble and rattle like it's about to fall off. Yes - I've taken it to the dealer.
  • Overall reliability hasn't been awesome. Had the engine pulled to replace cam phasers at 20,000 miles. My vehicle has/had most of the recalls. Currently sitting at 5.
  • Ford customer service (direct from the Ford CRC and not my dealer) is feckless and unhelpful.
My extended service plan goes till 2029, and I want to hold on to the vehicle till the warranty is up. I will buy another Bronco so long as they go back to full window frames, and they can fix all my recalls before 2029. They quote "fall of this year." But I have zero faith in that.

I only have 1 thing I hate about the Bronco, some other things are just annoying. #1 hate.... Turbo engines. They suck. I'd take a 315 hp V8 any day. But, Ford isn't doing that so I'm stuck with it.
I have the Ecoboost engines and the coyote in my trucks and the eco-boost destroys the coyote, especially when towing.
