I am missing something. I took the doors off, maybe I am about to find out when I put the doors back on. Why do you mark off all the original positions of the screws? The larger screws go on the top, the smaller screws on the bottom. Shoebox, yes I use a ziplock bag but absolutely.
It's not necessary but I like keeping them matched to the same hole. After the first door reattachment, my screws tend to go a little loosie as time goes on. I don't like to retighten too hard but that's just me.

Rules? Bronco owners don’t need no rules.
Best advice? Don’t lean out so far that you fall out.
Wear a hat you don’t mind losing.

Aftermarket floor mats are heavier and fit tighter than the factory ones. And some of the passenger area aftermarket mats are 1 piece. I bought lasfit and the front passenger doesn't lift @82 mph. Rear lifts a bit, but doesn't flap and look like it's going to blow out.

Lock your shit up

Also, extended lower alignment bolts. Much easier to get the doors back on than the factory provided alignment pin. And they stay in.

Without doors my wife would drive a lot slower - I guess the “openness” made her feel intimated and vulnerable at first.
Our first (and only so far) time removing the doors we forgot to unplug one of the doors - don’t do that! We purchased a battery operated “long reach” ratchet to remove the door bolts and keep the tool in the storage compartment in the back. The ratchet they put in the tool kit is ok - but IMO not the best - especially if you’re banging up the sides of the door

We made a homemade PVC rack to store our doors in. Pictures and instructions for building a four door rack are attached (not mine - from another site). We used a larger foam padding that we could insert the pvc pipe into before glueing the whole thing together. We added some harbor freight dolly’s on the bottom and roll the whole things with the doors in it with no problem. We do put the bags on the doors prior to removing them, then load the doors into the rack.

Dang garage owners! My current setup. And I have to take out the passenger mat as it flops heavily.

2. Don't drive in LA without the doors on or a homeless person will jump in when you stop in bad area (all of LA, I also live in LA County).
I just spit coffee out everywhere.

I bought some rubber gaskets that I put on the inner door edge when putting them back on just in case I bump anything.

Don't remove the doors like they do in the Ford video. Seriously, the way it gets lifted in this vid is guaranteed to chip your paint: (vid starts at the bad part)

The doors lift off super easy and do not require the hard jerk to get them off the hinges.
