Questoin for AccuTune, how much are a set of the 033-23-250-1 springs for the bronco? I have the BDS kit on mine and had my shop adjust the rears a bit to level me back out with my gear in the bronco. but just in case this ends up not being enough, i'm curious what the 250 pound springs cost.

I'm not sure what that part number is, but our 250lb rear spring kit is about $264

Could I run just the springs or would I have to do the valving as well? Assuming I could just run the springs, would I leave the pre-load ring at the factory setting or would I need to adjust it?

For reference: I am currently running two ROAM 66L boxes (with recovery gear and some tools) with their mounts on the rear of my Trailrax...probably around 120-140 lbs total. Needless to say, I need to stiffen up the rear a bit.

Different rate springs will require different amount of preload, so yes it would need to be adjusted. You can certainly just swap springs, but the ride quality may just not be perfect with the factory tune. I cannot say for sure how it will ride with that setup.

Thanks...I will order a set and see how it goes.

We highly recommend using a spring compressor to adjust preload on an OEM fit coilover like these, especially when adding preload.

There are different part numbers yes, however the (2) fronts share the same specs and so do the rears.

Feel free to give us a call, we've been getting to know these shocks really well in the last month. 619-722-8555. We also have a bunch of these in stock with upgrade options.
Are you saying there is no difference between the 2 door and 4 door kits on the for elite coilovers?

Thats correct, and pretty standard for most shock manufactures. However, if you go through us, we have 2 door and 4 door specific options plus we will take into account specific Bronco, its total weight and how you plan on driving it. The 2 door or 4 door options from us will come with different spring rates and valving.

Send over a message if you have any specific questions we can help answer, happy to help.

If you're going to go with the Fox's (especially if you have a 4 door and/or ANY weight/passengers) then don't bother buying them unless you're going through Accutune.

You'll end up either having to crank the preload to max just to get back to your original ride height (not lifted) or tear them apart and redo springs. Neither is obviously ideal and you end up with untuned spring/damper combos and useless clicker adjustments since they'll just be set to full stiff

Thanks!

With our 2-door and 4-door options, we just charge for the additional parts, we do not charge extra for labor to swap the springs on or tune the shocks. This is around a $150/each value we provide free. We also offer a free revalve on the shocks, so at any time you change the Bronco and the shocks need to be revalved, we will happily do that for you free of charge.

I like them, I think they were worth the upgrade. In the beginning I did have a little too much rake. I didn’t want to increase the preloads on the fronts so to get rid of that rake I ended up placing 3 grade 8 washers under my front coilovers gaining about a 1/2” of lift to level it out. Turned out pretty nice I think. Pic here is with standard flares. Pics in that link are with DV8 tube flares.

Did you ever install your new springs and if so what do you think.

Your ride looks great in this pick I noticed you have 37’s on the stock wheels I want to do the same thing. Do you have spacers or the jks kit.

I’m using the JKS max tire kit and I’m running 1.25 wheel spacers. You probably won’t need the max tire kit. I mainly got it to clean up the front end and to ditch those crash bars that stuck down under the bumper.
