I just got a response back from the AZ Attorney General. You probably did too if you filed yours about the same time as me. REJECTED as suspected. Attached is what they said. They note that I haven't had any warranty repairs completed since December 2023, which is correct. But from July 2023 - December 2023 I had my top replaced 3 times.
Hey, thanks for sharing! I think mine is in the mail coming today. Boilerplate response, not surprised.

We need MORE people to submit this to their state consumer protection department. It only takes a minute...If only there was an easy way to do this 😂 😂

Mine was in my email. Not USPS.

Ford’s MIC tops are failing. Cracking, delaminating, warping — and they know it. But once your warranty’s up? You’re on your own.

That’s why I built this: https://fixourbroncotops.com

We’re not asking — we’re demanding Ford take accountability and cover these tops for the life of the original owner.

🛑 Had a failure?

🛑 Tired of waiting for Ford to do the right thing?

This only works if we come together and turn up the heat.

Ford needs to feel the pressure — let’s give it to them.
Interesting thread and topic.
I have a 21 Badlands that was delivered in Nov 22. It sat in that dirt lot outside Detroit for 6 months while waiting for the Mic 2.0 top. My Bronco experiences full on Northern Illinois winters, and hot sun in summers. So far, so good. Early on had a small issue with some unsealed edges which were trying to delaminate. $5 of epoxy, a small brush, and color matching nail polish later and that problem has been solved for a little over 2 years now and probably way better than Ford would have done.

My plan: When this Mic top shits the bed, I’m going to by a third party manufactured top and call it a day. My life isn’t long enough to fight a major corp over a roughly $5-7k problem, but that’s just me.

I do feel for folks who have serious Mic top issues upon delivery, and that certainly is a different situation, but I am fortunate to not be in that pool of Bronco owners. Hopefully the site that joeman set up is helpful in getting some resolution to those affected.

Is this going to end up in a class action suit?

So, should Ford offer extended coverage on MIC to the original owners, but those of us that purchased used are hung out to dry? My wife and I purchased a 1 year old 23 with 16k miles. We fall under the 3/36 B2B and 5/60 powertrain.

We've had a rear clamshell replaced for delamination already along many others (obviously.)

I agree that an extended warranty to the 5 year/unlimited miles to match the corrosion issues would be a reasonable ask.

I would be willing to pay the difference from warranty cost to upgrade to a painted hard top if that was an option as well. Until then, I'll be keeping my eyes open on marketplace or copart for a painted hard top, or wrecked bronco with painted hard top...

Nope. Check out the website, I updated what we want earlier today. This is reasonable for all owners (new and used) and Ford Motor Company. Group input on this change.

We want Ford to stand by their loyal customers. Extend MIC top replacement coverage to 5 years with unlimited miles—matching Ford’s rust damage warranty on body panels. Because doing the right thing means keeping your word.

Thanks for putting in the work and creating this. I’m on a road trip and just noticed a split forming on the rear corner edge, in addition to the rear panels being misaligned when glued together and I got the wave many are seeing on the front two panels. Shouldn’t be happening on a late 24 build. Crazy the same problems persist.

Sorry man, you're not alone. I have the same waves on both front panels.

They weren't there when I purchased it, but have gotten worse in the 7 months I've owned it.

When you're off the road, make sure you send those pics on the site: https://fixourbroncotops.com/

Makes me think they actually began shipping all the bad tops they previously pulled at the factory. As others have said, it appears not to be an if but when. I’m pretty certain that split in the corner was not there when I purchased a few months ago. But I imagine temperature shifts, sun, etc wreaks havoc on this cheap construction and materials. I’d rather have it be twice as heavy and not crack, warp, delaminate, etc. give us aluminum or fiberglass?

Good to know—hopefully this site is also on Ford's radar for a little extra nudge. I really like this forum; the knowledge here has been super helpful since I got my Bronco.
Post this on the "Nation" site, too. Ford is still active there--there's some kind of ownership or affiliation by/with Ford there.
