I used the coupling kit mentioned below. Posted pics of how it’s mounted for your referenceI ordered the ARB brushless twin air compressor this morning. I'm leaning towards getting the DV8 air compressor mount and storage box. I'll update when I decide. Now I need to find a good bracket to mount the airline under the bumper
last year, around May, on the Idaho BDR, rounded a corner after 2+ hours on the dirt and came across a giant flock of sheep and two herders on horseback.I’ll take pics of mine today. Pretty sure i got the ARB bracket
American Adventure Lab? For a wiring harness to mount the compressor in the DV8 floor box?AAL has a wiring harness, fully made for this. It works well. I bought it for the single kit that goes into the tailgate, I would think it could work for the dual compressor. Probably could ask them about it.
They make a wiring harness for the ARB compressor. As I said, they made it for the single unit, but it could also be used for the dual. The crust of the harness is that they cut out a lot of the wires that ARB has, and basically set it up for just the compressor. They also use a large relay, and a wire dedicated to run to the front of the bronco to the battery with a mount box for underhood.American Adventure Lab? I plan on putting the switch next to the air chuck in the cargo area - so my wiring solution needs to accommodate that as well. They make a wiring harness for the ARB compressor. For those who are not electricians, it makes it very easy. As I said, it was made for the taigate setup, But I can easily see it being used to run from the DV8 tray, mount the fuse and ground, connect the other wire to the AUX there, then run the power to the front.
In the end, it's a harness made for the ARB products. It makes no difference who made it. Of course, the ARB has its own harness, but as I found not being an electrical expert, and the lack of good instructions, the harness from AAL was so much simpler to use.
That is their rear mount kit extension I believe. I am speaking of this one. It's in the Bronco Tailgate Mount section on the site.I plan on putting the switch next to the air chuck in the cargo area - so my wiring solution needs to accommodate that as well.
Is this the AAL one you are referencing - https://americanadventurelab.com/product/wiring-kit-rear-mount/
thank you - I found that one after I posted the last message above. That is their rear mount kit extension I believe. I am speaking of this one. It's in the Bronco Tailgate Mount section on the site.

This will allow you to hook up where you want to put the switch where you mention, you have enough wire to travel there because the switches wires run pretty long.
Admittedly it is pricey, but I found it worth it for the ease of it.

isn’t the twin compressor a higher load unit- meaning it draws higher current? just wondering if this is just too small of a gauge. That is their rear mount kit extension I believe. I am speaking of this one. It's in the Bronco Tailgate Mount section on the site.

This I am not sure on. I compared the harness I recieved from ARB and this one, and the only true difference was that the ARB had a giant 40 fuse at the end of their harness to the battery. the guage size look to be the same.isn’t the twin compressor a higher load unit- meaning it draws higher current? just wondering if this is just too small of a gauge.
Ok. Well the guage is an 8, but there is only one wire running up front. I would say using the the other wire kit with it, you could configure a dual harness. Perhaps?8AWG copper is required for 40Amp load. The dual compressor has 2 X 40Amp fuses (one on each of) the positive leads.
A dual setup sounds reasonable.Ok. Well the guage is an 8, but there is only one wire running up front. I would say using the the other wire kit with it, you could configure a dual harness. Perhaps?
Again I am no expert, just trying to offer solutions from what I used.
