I’m one of those who’s requested it. I like the mesh but prefer the inside dry in a surprise rainstorm. That and if you off-road with top off a lot, having an option to roll windows up and keep dust out would be nice. If and when I want to go full sun, Mikes designs make that fast and easy. Best of both worlds for me.
Thanks for the comments Ride. If you have any questions let me know.

I have the Jtops mesh shade on my two door. Only complaint, the Velcro / tape fails to hold at the front and rear ends of the sides. I routinely have t reattach those points.

Mayhem, are you trying to reattach the same strip of Velcro? If so it will not work, the hook and loop we use is a acrylic based adhesive and will not bond properly the second time.

Acrylic adhesive needs to bond for at least 24 hours once installed. If you use the promoter, then lay down the hook and loop and let it bond there should be no issues.

It’s important to rub it to get any air bubbles that might get trapped. The air bubbles will expand in the heat and loosen the grip.

When did you purchase your top so I can look it up to see what version of hook and loop was used?

Last summer. I cleaned and prepped the surface. The tape just doesn’t withstand the resistance on the front corners and the rear corners contract as well. I have even added extra 3M tape without success. Top is nice, just the corners don’t hold. So it goes.

If you send me your order number I will send you some of the new 2 inch we are now using. It is an extreme heat marine hook and loop. There should be no issues when using this.
I am in Texas and it gets brutal hot. I test everything here and it works flawlessly.

So just to confirm, this will not work the Bestop Trektop slant back softop, nor will it work with a stock 4dr hardtop. Just the Bronco stock 4dr softop?

Glad you asked, I thought it has zipper access specifically for the hardtop

Yeah I think @Gotchaa may have misunderstood. The access holes are so you can secure the hard top in place. I haven’t ran any @JTopsUSA products on the Bronco yet but from other conversations about the mesh top you have to unhook the Bimini at the front but otherwise can leave in place with the hard top on.

Hey Mike @JTopsUSA, do you have any photos of what the Bronco looks like with the Velcro strips installed and NO top? Trying to envision where these go specifically and if they are an eye sore when the Bimini isn’t installed.

I ordered the JTops Mesh to use with my Bestop Trektop and it was a major fail, didn’t line up and @JTopsUSA took it as a return.

I am hoping they consider that many of us don’t use the Bronco softop. If it doesn’t work it’s a hard pass for me

Our shades and tops work with all factory hardtops.
It does not work with the slant back Bestop. That product uses a rail system that we interfere with.
The zipper ports give you access to hart top latches.

No pics of just the Velcro. It does just look like part of the roll cage since it’s a long strip but you do see it.
I’ll look for some pics.

Only factory soft tops. Unfortunately we don’t get enough requests for non factory tops. The design requirements would be a hurdle to match aftermarket variants.

Sorry we make it very clear that we only fit Factory configurations. To try and fit every aftermarket variant would be tough. A stretchable bungee would be your best solution.

I must have missed the poll on the Bronco forums for feedback. I would expect more soft top owners are interested in this because it’s easier to open up and have a full cover. I do not take off my hardtop for a cover, I have rack rails and they get in the way(different cross bar mount points for the skybox need). For late spring and summer I go to soft top only. Looks like I will have to stick with Bestop’s
Mesh, I really wanted to JTops USA to work. Maybe next generation.

Sounds like a good solution for your configuration.
