I can’t lie I was a lil disappointed. I’m sure the hammer bilt would be a stronger but also significantly heavier…..since I’m only running a 37 km3 I would imagine it should be adequate since ford designed for the raptor 37 ko2. My method wheels are also a lot lighter than the factory wheels….ill give it a go and see how it does. Definitely better than the nothing I had before

Appreciate the honest feedback and share of info. I’m in a similar boat. Upgraded to 37” Yoko Geolandar MT’s and still running the stock stuff. Something is better than nothing. My tires aren’t crazy heavy but around 76# each which I believe are heavier than your KM3’s.

I need one of those gauge plates. I noticed it even had the decimal equivalent on there.

on the other had, you can get the HB raptor one, and the raptor hinges were a little over half price vs buying separately. At least that what I tell myself to feel better and have a backup plan 😁
That is true.
I’m a little on the fence. I have an opportunity for a nice discount on the TOR unit which has its own upgraded hinges. It would be a little less than using the hinges from the FP kit and coupling with the HB exoskeleton.

I just don’t plan on running a bunch of stuff on the back. Mainly just to make sure my spare is properly supported.

That’s what mine looked like when it arrived today as well. Quality and thickness are a bit disappointing. I used some 303 cleaner and then 303 protectant. Cleaned up and looks better now.

What did everyone use to trim the tire carrier down? Dremel?

So just to confirm unlike the Motoroso variant the FP part here actually requires us to cut the wheel mount so that the plate fits. I noted the motoroso one goes directly over the 4 holes and no cutting was required.
Cutting is required

Like someone else did on an earlier thread . I hit it with some 303 protectant and it came to life right away. I also use the 303 on my fender flares without it they tend to look bad occasionally

I found this accessory that appears to attached to my new reinforcement mount. Seems reasonably priced and solves a new problem I did not know I had until I found it. Which recovery boards do I need now? HAHA

I saw the accessory holes in the mount and thought what can I fill them with…..

After trimming the tire carrier with Dremel / angle grinder, did anyone do any treatment to the bare metal of the cut end? I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to repaint the cut end so it doesn't rust...

I haven't bought the kit yet but seriously considering it.

I have the turn off road adjustable mount so I hit it with raptor liner real quick….but if I remember right the stock mount is plastic…

I bought some of this to use for nicks & scrapes on my rock sliders but have used it on a few other projects as well. Cut the wings of my stock skid plate. Had to grind and enlarge a hole on some frame horn braces. Only takes a few minutes to shoot a few coats and dries for a good match.

Only the plastic needed to be cut - looked like they accounted for that since you just cut inside of the raised edges and it perfectly aligns.

There’s no metal to cut. You only trim the plastic.

So mine was finally shipped and arrived yesterday. I installed it today. Took a couple hours. Most of which were dealing with the buggered up bolts from previous owner of my Bronco and getting the rubber tire bumper off. Those stupid body clips that you unscrew the center of are annoying. Especially when the previous owner really screwed a couple of them up.
I did remove the tailgate but just sat it in the back instead of disconnecting cables. I marked the existing hinges, but that ended up being useless for me because the ones that were on there were different sizes and didn’t help. I had my father help with fitting it back in place and aligning it. Wasn’t hard at all.
Other than the messed up bolts from previous owner the only problem I ran in to was that the left bolt on the bottom bracket that holds the reinforcement plate on has something up with the threads and I can’t get that bolt to go in. It might just be paint in the hole. I’m going to run a thread chaser through it tomorrow to try to clean it up. Hopefully that takes care of it.
And I have to find a new way to mount my gmrs/ham antenna as my cheap Amazon bracket won’t fit with the reinforcement plate. Oh and I need to add the Bronco logo still. Got too late and cold to keep going tonight.

They fit. I still need to clean the glue and replace the Bronco. One hole for the exoskeleton bolt wasn't tapped correctly. I had to redo it to make the bolt fit. Other than that, I think it is pretty well made.
