My wife and I both have Broncos and we hit the trails together as much as we can. I bought the Midland MXT275VP4 Micro Bundle with the stubby antenna. It works great on the highway when we are headed to the trails. It works great in the woods as well. Much better than hand helds. I tested it in...
I will never buy Chinese portals from anyone and I will never knowingly buy a ripped off/reverse engineered part. But I definitely want to watch this thread.
Great review. We are planning on switching to the Ridge Grappler on both of our Wildtraks soon. Still have some life left in the Good Years and tires are pricey. Especially when you have to but 10.
Do your research before purchasing also. I have only seen one company that makes one that seals off the original air inlet. That being Mishimoto. The Airaid leaves the original inlet open. I don't plan on submerging my Bronco that deep, but I don.t see the point of a snorkel that doesn't close...
Good business decision by Ford. Very few people want EVs at this point. They are not a viable option for most Americans at this point in time.
I will leave the rest of my opinion out. I work in Oil & Gas. ;)
My refresh wishes:
Better tie rods and steering rack.
Framed windows (with gutters) that actually work the way they should.
Relocated speed sensor.
Shelter Green option for non raptor models.
His website claims 600 pounds if it is evenly distributed. It is pretty rugged. He also sells a standard duty version rated at 300 pounds. I doubt if I will hit 600 pounds, but it seems strong enough to handle it.
I installed the Packhorse for my 2 Door Wildtrak Saturday. It is better than expected. I opted for the Extreme Duty version. This thing is a beast. Install was straight forward with the help of Wicked Relics Youtube Install Video. I highly recommend this if you are deleting your rear useless...
That is the set up I am looking for for my 2 door. I am guessing the steering/tie rods are all new. Did you need to upgrade brakes due to the heavier tires? How is the spare tire mount holding up? I am still on 35s with a RC tail gate reinforcement bracket. I mount a Trasheroo on the tire full...
Looks great. How is it at highway speeds? I am looking for something that can handle 37s and still be able to roll down the highway at speed with all of our gear and still be very capable off road. We are looking at the BroncBuster steering and tie rod set up plus an adjustable lift setup.
Thanks. I guess I need to contact them. The window situation is terrible on these Broncos. I wish they would have given us frames for them. The frameless windows are not worth the hassle.
Just tried that on both rear windows in her Bronco. Worked perfect. Thanks a lot. I also watched his video on window flop. That is an issue on my 2 door. I will correct that this evening. I love these Broncos, but sometimes driving a computer is aggravating.
We are having an issue with the windows on one of our Broncos. My wife's windows appear to be not dropping when we open the passenger rear door. It stays up and when we close the door the window isn't able to go into the seal as it should be. We brought it to the local dealer. Of course they...
